That was a real choke.

Big lead and then just stopped moving and running. They knew to attack when we slowed down (pattern forming there). Then after that we just had a night where every fumble and bit of luck seemed to go their way. They were the better team when it mattered.

Goal kicking yips are clearly back again.

Bailey, Ah Chee, Lester, Neale and probably Linc were our best for most of the night.

Our best is more than good enough, our worst is still bad enough to undo all our good quite quickly. Blues are likely a Top 4 side but just our inability to manage the game is still not where it needs to be.

No Coleman & McKenna across our half-back was not ideal, we lost all run, dash & carry.

Toys don't need to get thrown out of the cot for a 1 point classic to begin the season but it's alarming how they were able to slam on 7 goals unanswered in like 20 something minutes, shades of Port Round 1 last year but as we know, it doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things. 4 points dropped though.

We didn't deserve to win that. Was a terrible effort
Sad but true.

Just wish it wasn't a Friday night, ruins the weekend.

Why do we try to shut the game down way to early.

Sh!t tactic we go to again and again and again, and lose every fr!cking time.

Fe<king stupid tactic.
But Fagan said we dont have a red time problem in his interview just last week

We weren't even trying to shut the game down.

We weren't dropping players back, we weren't chipping the ball back and forth, we'd simply stopped running into space and instead just bombed it down the line. I'm guessing because we were up by "enough" that effort dropped.

Hopefully that's a wake up call - it was last year.

I don't think red time starts half way through the second.

Lot of movement stopped in the midfield and we stopped tackling (almost none in the third). Sadly its a lesson about run and effort from the forwards and mids that we seem to never learn
