I used to be a patron at the Subiaco Hotel (I've been a member for about 14 years so Christ knows how much I've spent there over the years) however late last year they decided to change their pints to schooners (wtf, this is WA) and charge basically the same price. So, this year I've vowed to find an alternate venue because a) I'm a tight-arse and b) I want to know of any other venues that serve decent beer for a reasonably price (less than $15 a pint!). I am a craft beer snob so not interested in XXXX or VB etc. Are there any choices beyond the usual or am I destined to bring my own esky and drink in the park before the game???

J B Orally's is a good spot. Plenty of good beers on tap at a reasonable price.
Staff are good too if you can understand them!!

Then Dutch Trading Co for a few sneakies before the game

Never heard of this "establishment" so Googled it. First photo has a bloke in the foreground wearing an Eagle's jacket .....you?

Nah not me. Bit younger than that chap I would say. Also the only Eagles jacket I have is an Eagle Bay brewery hoodie.

Looks like he is staking his place early for the opening of Perth Stadium!!

Walking up from the Leederville train station you don't have many options.
I used to go to JB's but find its too crowded. Not much outside area either.
Now I go to the bowls club just across the road. Not much on tap - Carlton Draught, Mid and a cider I think but you can get cheap jugs, and a decent selection of bottles. Heaps of space and tables outside and the kids can throw some bowls around to keep themselves amused.

Crowd depends on who we are playing and the result but we can usually get in after the game. The crowd usually thins after an hour. Good atmosphere when we win and a bit of live Irish music if you stick around for more than 2 pints!

If you're driving to the game Varsity Bar in Crawley is always good. About a 10 minute drive from Domain.

Actually I think I'm going to try and find a venue that's on the train line - maybe in the city somewhere. Doesn't have to be Subi.

Cannot argue there.

Somewhat easier in the lounge bar than the main one.

Do they ever do the temporary bar in the undercroft carpark there anymore?? It was years ago, but I remember before a game, pretty sure it was a derby, they set up a bar in the carpark/basement level. It worked really well, haven't seen or heard of it since.
