New High Performance Manager at Carlton

Carlton CEO Greg Swann today confirmed the appointment of Justin Cordy to the position of High Performance Manager at Carlton.

Justin will join the Carlton Football Club in early November from his current role as the Australian men’s cricket strength and conditioning coach with Cricket Australia.

“Justin has extensive experience in strength and conditioning roles in elite team sports and his formal qualifications in physiotherapy and exercise science will ensure the Carlton players have the very best preparation, on a day to day basis, for each game of the season,” Greg Swann said.

During his time at Cricket Australia Cordy was involved in the preparation of the Australian players for the 2006-07 Ashes Test Series as well as for this year’s World Cup in the West Indies. Prior to joining Cricket Australia Cordy had worked as a fitness coach in the AFL with Essendon and the Western Bulldogs as well as for the Australian International Rules Team.

The boys that have been at the club less than 3 years start officially on October 23rd, the older boys start a week later.

Exactly right.
Might have to take a day or 2 off work to go and see them run around PP and the like. Just gotta see Judd in the Carlton training gear ASAP. :thumbsu:
