well i was pretty high on both coming into 2018 which was evidently incorrect...but I dont see why those two teams shouldn't have much better seasons

Going to be a really difficult year to pick. If WC can have a relatively injury free year I can see us finishing clear on top like Richmond this year. GWS has had a horrid run with injurys in the last few years and I can see them finally stringing it together next year. Adelaide still have one of the most talented lists in the comp and with a better injury run and an easy draw, there's no reason they can't finish top 4. Collingwood will have a more difficult draw than this year but will naturally improve so should finish thereabouts. Can't see Richmond having such a good run with injurys again, plus the run from late '17 til the prelim had to end somewhere and I can't see them being the unstoppable force at the G that they were for another season. Most of their stars are 30 or near on, so won't be improving. Sydney seem to be going through a transitional period but I can't see them dropping off much from where they are at the moment. Hawthorn overachieved this year and with a tougher draw they will drop a bit, and Geelong's midfield will see them hover around the outskirts of the 8 without really challenging.

No doubt I'll be completely off the mark and be made to look a fool by this time next year, but this is the best I could come up with at the moment. Genuinely believe there are 14 teams who could make the 8 next year, without taking into account potential trades and free agency transfers. Can't see any feasible way that Carlton, Freo, Gold coast or St Kilda will make it however.

every year a team comes from outside the top 8 and makes the top 4, I thought i would be the bombers this year but it was us instead I reckon it will be the bombers next year though, a year after all their trade ins should see better continuity which will lead to better results imo

I think it's a but sad when your teams in the GF and the day before your focus is to troll other clubs.
Where's the excitement, nerves and adrenalin? It doesn't happen very often for most clubs.

Go thru the yearly records - generally 2 or 3 of the top 8 change from year to year.

For 2019 -

Two of the following to drop out - Hawthorn, Sydney and Geelong and will be replaced by either Essendon, North and Adelaide.

There were about 4-5 8s and one 6 for Brisbane (ignoring the reverse ladder one of course) ... personally I was not sure if they were trolling, need psychological intervention or truly believe we will be playing finals next year!
