Copy Pasted last year's thread. Pretty straight forward process I think. I'd rather see one ladder position predicted rather than about 5, that would be good
Position: 4th again
Trevor Barker Medalist: Riewoldt
B'n'F top 6: Riewodlt, Goddard, Fisher, Ball, Hayes, Dal Santo
Leading Goal Kicker: Riewoldt, no better option up there
Most Improved: Dal Santo and Kosi from this year, otherwise Armitage
Debutants: Steven (star in the making), Connors, Miles, Ray
What you will see: More of the same to be honest, there isn't anything that would shuffle the cards at Moorabin i don't think. Cousins could make a difference if he comes, but not significant i don't think. Hopefully more game time for Armo, Stevo and Macca
What you won't see: A shithouse start to the season, Barker (yayyy), the legend (noooooooooooo)
Who should not be on the 08' List?
Fiona (To be fair he's an outside player who is completely useless at getting any sort of his own ball becoz we can't use him properly, to be harsh he's a piece of shit with extra soft butter on top, whichever way you see him), McQualter (had enough chances), Ferguson (ditto), Gwilt (shit under pressure, and no good at kicking, good tackler but that's not enough), Van Rheen (can't get a game), Chivers (ditto), Chuck Gardiner (not up to AFL level, Rix (ditto). I know we won't find that many players, but that is the difference between us and the best, our fringe players are shithouse while at the Cats, a fantastic player like Prismall can't get a game.
Players who will start in the best 22, but won't be there by seasons end: Due to retirements, players below will start anyway, but McQualter, Gwilt, Michael Gardiner
Players who will join the best 22 by years end: Birss, Armitage, Steven, McEvoy, possibly Allen but not sold on him yet
I think if we can have a good start to the season and win the games we should win, we should breach the gap a little more. But there are many cause variables to a football season. Hopefully '09 is a good one for Saints
