First of the 4 associates have named their 30, with a few familiar names in the Kenyan squad and a lot of players whose surnames begin with O (cue Kenny Calendar's every f***ing horse has an S in its name joke).

My XI:

Watson
Haddin
Ponting
White
Clarke
Hussey
Christian
O'Keefe
Johnson
Lee
Tait

I'd love to see that side front up just once. All that pace

Good to see veteran Steve Tikolo included, im a fan of the 39 year old.:thumbsu:

I believe it's Tikolo's 5th World Cup assuming he makes the final 15, joining a number of the world's elite players.

Pakistan's 30 won't be named until January 5 after some accused of spot fixing are having appeals heard so they can play for Pakistan again.

ENGLAND: Andrew STRAUSS, James ADAMS, James ANDERSON, Ian BELL, Ravi BOPARA, Tim BRESNAN, Stuart BROAD, Paul COLLINGWOOD, Alastair COOK, Steven DAVIES, Jade DERNBACH, Steven FINN, James HILDRETH, Craig KIESWETTER, Michael LUMB, Eoin MORGAN, Samit PATEL, Kevin PIETERSEN, Liam PLUNKETT, Matt PRIOR, Adil RASHID, Ajmal SHEZAD, Darren STEVENS, Graeme SWANN, James TREDWELL, Chris TREMLETT, Jonathan TROTT, Chris WOAKES, Luke WRIGHT, Michael YARDY

My picks in bold
I would prefer Wright or even Bopara instead of Prior

So who keeps then?
I was picking Kieswetter as keeper but it seems Davies is actually our newest keeper so I would also pick him and leave out Kieswetter.

Not sure the last time Prior even played in the ODI team, wasnt a fan of Kieswetters either but in the massive rotations I had forgotten than England had dumped him as well. Neither of them are good enough to play as a batsman only so why I was dumping 1 of them, no need for 2 keepers for the world cup either

Yeah I'd take that, amazing that Prior was once the best County One Day batsman, the player everyone wanted out when playing Sussex but now he has got his head together in tests but been pushed right out of the frame in LO. He does have a winning positive mentality in him which could be useful but he won't get a game over Kies or Davies either. Personally I think Kies would be the better choice right now.

I think it may even be as much a case of him being worked out now he plays all forms, his test record against decent opposition is pretty appalling, Prior may find himself out of all forms within 12 months if the OD keeper can put together some good performances

Oh how I wish we could find a decent, reliable keeper

Couldn't get qualified in time and didn't get the dispensation that they got for Joyce.

Still waiting on New Zealand (just named a new coach, very tardy), Pakistan (January 6 as mentioned earlier), Canada (playing in the Caribbean T20) and the Netherlands.

News from within the 30's as well.....Bangladesh pace spearhead Mashrafe Mortaza appears to have had his troublesome knee go on him again, and West Indian Shane Shillingford has been banned for chucking.

we could trade you haddin for a packet of twisties?

Canadian squad has been named, although you'd be mistaken for thinking it's an Indian D team. Just Netherlands and Pakistan to come, and not holding my breath to get the Dutch squad anytime soon.

If Hodge is not selected in the touring squad the selectors are absolutely kidding themselves.
