A few notable points.
Fitzroy incredibly won 7 of their 8 premierships prior to this period, and only 1 (1944) in their last 74 years in the VFL/AFL.
Carlton, Collingwood, Essendon and Fitzroy all capitalised very well in the early years of the VFL (Pre 1925, whilst there was only 8-10 teams in the competion) with 5-7 premierships each.
The Hawks took a further 38 years from the beginning of this period to get started (1961). The first of their 13 premierships in the past 62 seasons.
