Draft Picks
To encourage trading, every team also gets an additional free agent pick which they must either trade or forfeit (i.e. cannot use themselves). If you trade for one of these picks you can either a) select a free agent for your senior list, or b) promote one of your rookies, move to the back of the draft order and take a free agent on your rookie list.
Geelong have an additional (the first) free agent pick which they can keep or trade.
All picks are 1 year deals, except Geelong's pick which can also be 150/2 or 200/3.
The NAB Cup pick will be taken prior to the GWS-Sydney game, the remaining picks will be taken between the GWS-Sydney and Richmond-Carlton games (therefore GWS and Sydney players taken in this draft will not be eligible for selection in round 1).

What you can trade
All trades are straight swaps of senior players and/or free agent picks.
Rookies can be added as sweeteners to any deal.
Veterans, stalwarts and players not on AFL lists cannot be traded.

Contracts
Contracts cannot be changed.
Your 2012 salary cap is now irrelevant, but you will need to make room for your additional contracts in your 2013 cap.

Dodginess
At the end of 2012, you cannot trade a player back to the coach who trades him this week.
Any other dodgy trades will see both teams get penalty points.

Eligibility
To be eligible to participate you must first post your compulsory press release (read the rules) in sante's thread.

I'll kick it off I guess !

I'm looking for a forward, I'll trade my FA pick 10 + one of rookies Hombsch (GWS) or Delaney (NM) or Dalgleish (Ess).

PM me if any interest.

Press release will be up soon.

Trade between Gold Coast and Wagga:

Gold Coast receive:
Liam Jones and Pick 4

Wagga receive:
Tim Mohr and Pick 2

Confirmed by Gold Coast.
This might turn out to be 2 downgrades for me here. But I'm happy to take a gamble on Jones.

Cheers Gee Dub. Hope you get the player you want with pick 2. Good luck this season mate.

Happy to on-trade pick 4 if anyone wants it

A little confused by this. does this mean we can go over our salary cap for this season now? Eg If I trade out someone that I pay 100k, I can trade in someone that's 300k?

Can this be confirmed?

We don't actually get a free agent unless we make a trade?
And we don't get to have that unless we make a press release?

Confirmed

Willing to trade guys like Dom Tyson, Jacob Townsend and Anthony Miles for players who are guns now for teams with youth policies. Won't just take anyone for them though.
