And that’s me done for preseason

Probably the best conditioning I’ve seen the squad in since I’ve been attending training.

There’s a bit to look forward to this season albeit we’ll lose more than we win and there’ll be the occasional shellacking when things come completely unstuck

Stay positive, take the good with the bad as the players learn the new game plan and Mini identifies what he has to work with. Some will thrive, others will fall away but one thing I’m sure of is that the effort and desire to compete and improve will be there

Dewar and Ginbey definite stand-outs so far.

Johnston, Allan and Brock playing good footy.

Waterman and Ryan playing like they should be.

No real stand-outs from the midfield, though Duggan was good early. Edit: Hall has actually been quite good.

Expecting the pace to almost completely go from the game now and just open up the flood gates with goals.

The key for mcq is making sure he gets guys like him and Dewar impacting the game up the ground if the ball isn’t in our forwardline. They’re not inherently small forward specialists and they’ll be wasted trying to play them like that

On the Eagles Instagram he was at the signing table with Chesser and Bazzo a couple hours ago so I'd say he's still a little sore.

I love how this club can have deficiencies all over the ground, but one thing for certain is we always got fully stacked young and talented key position players. Archer Reid with the dukes and goal.

From the first quarter “B” team, you’d have to say that Hewett, Dewar, Petch and maybe Maric more than deserve to be best 23. At the same time, no one from the “A” team deserves to be moved out. What an unusual feeling.
