Ken: We have selected McEntee and Atkins because they have shown they can play AFL footy. Jackson and Lorenz aren't ready for AFL. McEntee gives us defensive pressure down forward and Atkins gives the back some much needed experience.

yes but my point is that its a result of the teams performance, getting smashed around the ground in transition.

dempsey isnt a key forward

you cant play 3 genuine keys, no team does, you become too slow, we are already bad at d50 ground balls, we will be even worse.

With three, potentially four out, they won’t cut players like Mead, Lord or Moraes. Despite some indifferent form.


They’ll bring in forwards to shift players like DBJ back or they’ll bring in Atkins. So that’s Berry and McEntee. Berry has talent - hard to show in a struggling, inconsistent team, would prefer him in over McEntee or playing someone like Lorenz or Jackson out of position.

They’ll opt for experience because we’re young and inexperienced. Thus Boak will come in.

And no, I don’t want McEntee in. And yea, it would be great if Berry could play at SANFL to get himself to the level but we don’t have that luxury. We’ve got Ana, Charleson and Barrett as small forward depth - 2 of those would be close to odds on for delisting. We have Williams and Atkins as half back options, both odds on for delisting. Lai/Cochrane/Marshall/Moss/Farrell/Lukoscious are all injured. Lorenz is a wing, Jackson an inside mid, Whitlock a key forward, Sweet a ruck, BZT a key back who can barely been over.

Losing your second best mid, solid shut down defender and best medium defender in one game isn’t easy to cover.
