Watching the Cats game today, it amazes me how a player of this quality cannot cement himself in Geelong's starting 22. He would be in every single other side's best 18 without hesitation. Great player, and his disposal is nothing short of brilliant. Exactly what we need.

A possible future midfield of:

Pendlebury, Prismall, Thomas, Swan, Didak/Kerr would be very good in a couple of years :thumbsu:
 
Kerr probably won't get to Collingwood, however Cousins most likely will.

If you could nab Prismall as well (you'd have to pay a reasonable price) I would burst a hole in the front of my pants.

First round selection should be off limits, but 2nd round should be put on the table with maybe an expendable player.

Agree with you mate.

But I think the only way to get Prismall will be with draft picks. I don't think there is any 'expendable' Collingwood player that Geelong would want.

Unfortunately Geelong are in the box seat as I'm sure that there will be plenty of interest in him. They could nab themselves a late 1st rounder if a bidding war occurs.

He might cost more than we can afford.

Yes. If he becomes available, and he will, I would be pretty disappointed if we didn't make a play and A nab him, or B make another side over pay for him.

I agree Prismall would be a Fantastic Get but If there it becomes a Bidding War we could not have enough to win the War.

The only way we would get Prismall if we become his Club of Choice.

Plus I think you Missed Cousins in Next Year Midfield;)

Just what the competition needs - some club overpaying for Prismall so Geelong get high draft pick to add to their depth. Great!!!!!

By the time a late first round pick develops they'll be well and truely finished their dynasty.
 
If we drop out the semi's and have pick 11-12 then we should look at something like 11/12 and 28/29 for prismall and pick 15/16.

We should still be able to get Sidebottom with the first round pick :D
 
Yeh I think he would be handy, it would be good to make a play at him and see how it goes. That said I wouldn't offer anything earlier then our second rounder, and even then it depends if we are getting Cousin's, and how we have to aquire him.

Simply put as good as he is he is not so much to our need for us to be paying more then what his worth, his a good player, made look a lot better by how much of the ball Geelong get. I seriously doubt he'd be getting the wraps he is if he was A) one of the sides top 3 mids and hence getting attention from the opposition and B) playing in a side that didn't enjoy such a dominance of the position of the ball.

My mate is an avid Cats fan and gets along to all the games. He doesn't rate him very highly.
 
I think it depends if Chapman signs, I understand that Geelong want Chapman to take a pay cut and he is not in favour. So i guess if Chapman leaves then Prismal will stay
 
Pretty hard to find someone to trade with Geelong they haven't exactly got holes in their list that need filling so they will go with the highest draft pick offered, not sure we will have this or be willing to give it up. Tigers & Bombers will be all over this one. Kangas will finish ahead of us so we should beat them, Melbourne reportedly is keeping all their high picks.

I think he is a good fit for us but once again we are at the back of the pack unless we want to give up our first pick which I am reluctant to do for someone who is not a star. Daniel Kerr I would!

Maxwell is a Geelong boy & has plenty of mates there and sides have been trying to isolate Harry Taylor so interesting thought but is Maxwell worth more to them a high draft pick? Wouldn't think so.
 
I doubt Maxwell will be traded - thought very highly of at Lexus due to his leadership qualities. Goldsack may be the one they find enticing....

Our need for Prismall will be determined in the next couple of weeks I reckon. Cook, Wellingham and McCarthy seem to be going along nicely and if they keep contributing for the rest of the year then I reckon we are better off persevering with them in the side and use the 2nd round pick we would have to give up for Prismall.

If we bring Cousins in as expected I am not sure Prismall would be an automatic 22 selection.

Geelong will do whatever is best for Geelong and then consider Prismalls wishes. Cats take highest bidder or he walks to PSD. So the Cats will deal but can we be top bidder? I doubt it and if he goes to PSD we are no chance.
