Pretty rich coming from the doofus who was raving on on about Prismall being such a great defensive midfielder, too smart for the rest of the dumb midfielders at Essendon, and him being the number 1 midfielder in our next premiership.

I think you well and truelly paased on to all of us that you have NFI when it comes to football.

Jimi, it's well established that you do not like Prismall. You don't have to continue with this drivel. It's not making you look any better. As a person. You're right. Move along.

Just because some dufus in the herald sun gave him votes, it doesn't mean he deserved them.

The most puzzling thing is trying to work out the motivation behind one of our assistant coaches saying after last weeks game that "we (I presume we means the coaches) were really happy with Prismall's performance".

Longy, perhaps the coaches actually DID think that he had a good game. No...wait...not possible..
Carry on.

The suggestion that he has signed for the GC is total rubbish and plain stupid, why spread things that aren't true?

I'm currently in Europe, and didn't see the game (probably a good thing) how did the boys who came in for Pris go? And how did Myers go this week? Will he hold his sport or go straight out for Hooker?

Interested at the team selection this week, a close loss to the swans and 3 unforced changes were made, and from what i have read, doesn't seem like the inclusions helped. Hopefully the team doesn't go backwards like they did after the Fremante game when howlett, prismall and davey were dropped and the the team structure suffered from it.

Dyson had a game he would rather forget. Added nothing, probably due to the fact he got his hands on it about 10 times. Slattery didn't have his greatest night either. Defensively he wasn't helped out by a poor showing in the midfield however. Stanton took the Ling tag and actually played very well considering IMO. Pity Watson didn't relish the rare freedom and his disposal was again, very poor in beautiful conditions. Fletch was probably beaten. As was most of our defence. Bellchambers played awesomely.

During the third quarter it was evident that we lacked ball winning midfielders and midfielders who generally knew where the ball was going. Prismall probably would have helped in hindsight in that respect as the ball seems to find him. Players like Melksham, Lonergan and Lovett-Murray, may as well not have been on the field when the Cats took control. Couldn't buy a touch.

Where are all posts blaming pris, eventhough he didn't play ... I am sure he must have missed a few a targets at training during the week, that resulted in the 12 goal loss.

It was extremely poor at the selection table, it's never great but this week was particularly bad. If you can't find a spot in the team for M Williams and Prismall then there's something seriously wrong with our coaching staff and selection committee.

Prismall does more good things than Winderlich, Lonergan, Welsh, Dyson, Dempsey and Slattery every game. Granted they are different players but **** this shit about team balance, really, we don't have the depth we think we do!!!

I think we can stick a fork in him, he's done. Not up to the standard to be a midfielder for the EFC.

The lack of second efforts and non attack of the ball tonight was pathetic.

Go barrack for Richmond. There were 22 equally pathetic performances out there tonight, and you single out one.

Lol maybe you shouldnt read the "Prismal Roast Thread" if you dont want people to single out players. :D

Fail to see how he was worse than anyone else?

Had a bad turnover in the first quarter and why he persists to try and hit up targets in that area of the ground, I'm not sure. Geelong football I suspect.

But I thought he at least pushed back to try and help out and was harder over the footy than he has been in the past.

Needs to convert goal scoring opportunities to take his game to another level.

He was no worse than anyone else, but he has shown basically nothing since being at the club (at least on field). Winders has been maybe worse this year than Pris, but he showed last year that he has much to offer.

To dig up a old thread means he must have come
on here with an ajenda. Thought there were 15 players worse than him tonight.

So why don't we start up a roast page for all 22.

But it's too easy to bag one.

Why not bag some of our more senior players, like mcveigh
or welsh or someone who has played more than 50 games of footy. Prismall is not the problem.

I think he's shown enough to be our third best midfielder.

I don't think he's going to be an out and out superstar, but I think he's going to be a good B grade midfielder and if we get rid of B graders, we're never going to be a good side.

I think he becomes a really dangerous player when we're a much better side and I don't think there is anything wrong with that.

Along with Watson and Stanton (he has the drawbacks of each in that he is slow and has poor disposals by foot)? I would already rate Melksham and Zaka as more potent midfielders than Pris.

His inability to pressure the ball carrier is killing us. His lack of intensity means the opposition get the ball moving out of dangerous areas and we can't lock the ball up.

He ball watches and gets way too many cheap and easy disposals. He has no second effort in him whatsoever. The only way we can get him to be valuable is to surround him with 5 A graders like the cats. It won't happen.

We need to find someone with a different dynamic... Heath Hocking.

I know this'll sound harsh, but maybe it's time for people to come to terms with the possibility that Prismall might just simply be a "good" player, and not a superstar just because he came from Geelong.

He gets enough of the ball, but just isn't especially damaging with it.

I think Melksham will be a much better midfielder, but not at the moment.
I actually think Melksham is a liability at the moment and we're best suited by him going back to Bendigo and playing big games in the midfield.

He's not fit enough, when he is tired his ability to have any sort of influence is next to nothign and when he takes any sort of hit it takes him 5 minutes to recover.

Zaka, probably could go ahead if he plays there. I think Pris is a great fifth or sixth midfileder and should stay in the side because of that. He's a smart footballer and when in space he uses the ball so well. We're not good enough for him to be our fifth midfielder but I don't subscribe to the fact that we should get rid of him because of that.

All good points, but he, Prismall, is just so frustrating to watch. I actually believe, as I have posted previously, that Dempsey would make a very good midfielder. He can play inside and out as he is so good in traffic, but obviously also fleet of foot. His vision is great and he is courageous. Admittedly his decision making needs some work.
