Got invited to a league which had already been set up by friends, and on Feb 29 I paid up to join. Logged, set up team details, entered code, saved details, and got a message saying I'd successfully registered. The screen froze for a while, and then a screen appeared saying I'd been entered in a random league with unfamiliar people. A couple of clicks later, and I'd accidentally erased my email and password from SC altogether.
Sent a tech support email, and 2 days later I got the reply back. No problems reinstating the email and registration details, and i was back in normal SC as per usual, all the comps I've already signed up for in 2012. However, they refused to put me in the SC Pro comp I was originally trying to join, saying "the comp had already been finalised" - the draft is on March 12.
Subsequent email (done as a proper tech request just like the first one) calling them on this and asking them to try a little harder, seeing as they have my money, and in language no more abusive than this paragraph, has been ignored for the past week...
This is bull$h!t. You cannot tell me that one of the computer geeks in charge of this comp (after having found the time to respond to my email, circumvent the email address rule and still happily take my 20 bucks) hasn't got the power to replace me with another random so that this other group can still go ahead, and put me in the one I "apparently" signed up successfully for in good faith...
