Problem with Office 2k3

All of the sudden, I cannot enter anything (text, numbers etc.) into cells in excel or a word document...

It's not a matter of stalling, as the menu's work, however EVERY single button or feature is disabled for some reason, as though it's a locked document (which it isn't).

Anyone ever come across this? What can I do?

Is this ANY excel or word document? Or just specific ones?
Does the problem persist if you reset your computer?

Yep - any document, excel, word, powerpoint, etc.

I've tried around 8-10 different times and it's still no good.

My uni work is starting to heat up so this is a huge problem for me so if anyone could help me out it'd be much appreciated.

Yeah I have, it's found 9 problem files yet it wont let me delete them...

So this is the problem? How come it doesn't effect anything else?




Oh and no I don't have a cordless keyboard MM.

macros are office shortcuts, and viruses attach to these shortcuts and execute when the shortcut macro is used.

look in the office help file to see how to turn macros off.

then try the file scan or excel again

If that doesn't work (though I suspect it will), you can repair Office using the cd you used to install it originally. You still have it, of course?
