Looks like TLC has picked up a nasty infection
When I looged on my anti spyware and firewall hit warnings on my screen, after running anti spyware program 22 problems were indentified

Might want to look into it

Sure it wasn't the pr0n site you were on minutes earlier... ?

Same thing has happened to me in the past, but in all seriousness the admin and mods could care less about the TLC site... they cannot even get this one working effectively.

This will seriously upset BIGBEZ!

I'll be taking legal action. Be sure to hear from my lawyers. Reep will be representing me.

I got a really nasty winsecurity virus/malware from TLC (I think) a week or so ago, haven't been back since.

PC Security 2009!

Kingy - how do you get rid of it, it's on my Dad's work laptop as well - got it there first, then decided to test it on the virus-riddled, malware-r*ped home PC, and it's there too.

Dad's tech guys at work might be able to fix it but if you know an easy way to get it off that would help heaps

Don't remember exactly mate - needed to delete a couple of files from /windows and /windows/system32 as well as deleting a couple of registry entries.

But I didn't remember the names :(

LOL, delete System 32. Always a good plan.

Chief, the most stable genius,, will this problem ever be fixed?

*edit, here's the bubble, bottom left corner - notice "prevent" is spelt "pervent" and there's no space between the fullstop & "windows will now etc etc"

Ah stuff it, looks too complicated and I'll probably make this one explode.

I'll let the tech guys sort out Dad's laptop but this computer's so ****ed that it doesn't matter anyway.. Literally have filled the hard drive with downloaded movies (some pr0n, some not) and music. Need a new one.

Bottom right corner, virus location fail.

Yea, same, this one is ****ed; funny though. When it crapped itself, I was using IE, so I just downloaded Chrome, and it sorted it.

Also, Travyo goes BANG!

There seems to be a problem with TLC, it isn't on big footy :o

A web site can't infect you without you downloading and running something from it on your machine.

That message looks like it is from an EXISTING piece of malware on your computer. It is trying to get you to pay for software to remove itself.

Less of the surfing of dodgy pr0n sites, more anti-spyware...

What exactly were the problems identified? I'm guessing cookies. Am I right?

I don't know where I got it, but it was whilst I was looking at TLC only (maybe the NSFW section?).

That winsecurity thing is an absolute bastard piece of malware btw, had to delete registry entries, downloaded CCleaner which helped but it was a bastard of a thing. Took me a day or two.

Not cookies mate - couple of files and registry entries.

What Karl said is right - I opened a page on TLC, then bang, my internet browser shit itself and that winsecurity pro or whatever window came up. Had to use another PC to google for the fix/removals.

Dodgy pr0n sites, no argument; but this was on my work PC, where visiting TLC is the dodgiest thing I do.
