How much does this mood suck?!

Ideas on how to get motivated on writing a job application.

Turn off the XBox, get off Facebook and do it.

Then go for a jog/walk the dog, get the haircut you need, shop for better food than what you currently eat, and visit your mum/grandma.

Instead of studying for my year 12 exams, I spent a couple of days attempting to memorise every US state and it's capital city. And I did successfully, albeit sacrificing a lot of marks.

What the **** was I thinking?

A mod will edit the typo in the thread title for you, mate.

Later.

Have been meaning to do something about that also....

So finished the job app...and then opened another email I couldnt be bothered reading last week only to discover I have a 'draft' of a full report due July 9th...'2500 words or less'.

I am pretty sure I lost a fair few VCE marks due to sporcle (US states game in particular) and spider solitaire. I still got 28 points more than I needed though - I have no regrets :p

My year 12 exams, I had close to 3 weeks of study time between English and the rest of my exams... Did not pick up a book once.

It did hurt my score and I didn't go to uni which was the plan, however I am now a Personal Trainer and on the cusp of starting my own business and I couldn't be more happy.

So in a way, procrastination helped me..

I'm a massive procrastinator. I don't know what it is, but whenever I designate time to do any sort of work, I end up on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, BigFooty, etc. It's getting out of HAND and I need to practice some self discipline otherwise I'll never get a degree.

This should be on the humour Board under lame jokes...

There is about 50 things I could be doing from work, yet I am procrastinating. I am SO bad for it. I trick myself into thinking I work better under pressure, I am pretty sure that is a lie and that I would produce better things if I just did it instead of wasting every possible second!

Hope for a power blackout, we had two yesterday & I got more done in those hours, than I have in a week.

The blackouts still sucked though. :(

What a massive bump from the past.

Classic risk/reward. I find I procrastinate if I don't see a foreseeable benefit in what I'm doing. i.e. Study hard and you increase you're odds of doing well but no guarantee. Do a work assignment and a reward may or may not be forthcoming.

This is definitely me to a tee!

Procrastibation is pretty sweet.
