Maybe the opposing ruckman will take pity on him. We need a proper ruckman in or atleast someone who can compete, Lucas is getting smashed by maric and tippet.

I'd say it was our biggest problem, because we had Lucas in the ruck when we clearly needed him in the forward line.

If Fletch isn't fit, bring Bock in. We were killed today in the ruck.

Scotty's not a ruckman, Hooker isn't a ruckman, and Fletch is good enough to play anywhere on the ground.

Otherwise we need Bock to provide something which we didn't have when Ryder was off - a contest.

Speaking from experience as a ruckman, rucking against a strong but shorter player is a hell of a lot easier than a taller, weaker player. Bock will be much harder to ruck against than Scotty, and will give us a contest.

I agree he his not ready but Lloyd is said to be 83kg according to the Bomber magazine and according to the article the other forwards are similar in weight.

You can winge that we need him all you like, but it simply wont happen.

Bock is at least 2 years off AFL. He would be a liability and most likely get injured.

What we really lacked was foward pressure. Very stupid dropping Jetta and having Lloyd, Lucas and Neagle. Thats what lost us the game.

I know Bock is still developing so I don't mean this to be rude but he is not where ready, looks like a Basketballer not a footballer.

I have empathy for all the bombers who have gone down this year....basically we will miss the finals.

As a felllow (retired) big man. I think BOCK could offer alot to this team. His Ruck work is OK. He's mobile & can take a mark /actually kick unlike many.

Anyone who has seen Bock play at Bendigo would not be pushing for his inclusion.

He is not ready. Not just body size but also skill level. Not nearly good enough. He is not a VFL ruck at this stage.

He is a long term and long shot chance to ever play.

Would think that if it wasn't for his brother, he would not be on a rookie list

Lot said about physically he is not ready but mentally he is even further away. He was close to useless against guys like Skipper, O'Hailipen, Goldstein all struggling to get regualr games. If we are persist with Hooker as our back up who is probably our best option we have to forget about playing him in defence.

No doubt Daniher has to come in this week. So we can play Hooker as a second ruck, **** this loss was more painfull than the north game.
