2) I'm Tasmanian

Just bumping this to show that the formula for compensation picks was decided 2 years ago and nobody said anything about it.

Now would be the time to propose changes so we don't have the same issues with them next year.

Why am i only getting pick 24, when he is clearly more valuable than other players who get a higher pick as concession.

I used pick 12 for Vickery in the "superdraft" and only get pick 37 in return.

Surely if a player is taken in the first round and has shown he has a big future as Vickery has he should be worth at least a first round pick.
How can he possibly have gone down in value? Even Matt Campbell is worth more!

The formula provides an easy way to calculate compensation. At a glance it seems reasonable enough. But in reality it completely alters the real value of players.

Young kids take longer to develop so their scores are usually lower, especially young talls. If I had an average dime-a-dozen mid coming off contract instead of a rare young gun ruckman I'd get a much better pick. As it turns out I get bugger all compensation for a more valuable player.

For young players coming off their first contract the pick used to draft them should be taken into consideration.

May have some solutions tomorrow, for now I'll respond to the players mentioned here.

Jamar - he's 27 and points-wise nowhere near the 2nd best ruckman in the comp, I can find 10 ahead of him.
Vickery - averaged low 40s both years with a decent sample size of 23 games in 2 years. I agree 37 is below par, but certainly don't buy the argument that his value can't possibly have gone down since he was drafted.
