Ok, the way i see it is we were gunning for baird before todays draft. So we would pass on pick 52 to get him in the psd. simple. but since he was taking at pick 45 by the kangaroos, when we got to pick 52, in my mind we had nothing to pass on unless they have someone else in mind? is there another recycled player we're looking at for the psd? or are we going to do what carlton did last year and draft a kid? in that case why didnt we draft him then and there? the only move i dont understand now about our drafting today.

If we had supposedly talked to Baird and had him 'signed , sealed and delivered , '

1. why would he have nominated for the draft
2. as stated , why did we still pass on our last pick when there could have been late talent available.

I think the talk about Baird to the Pies was wrong.

Elevate harry maybe?
Why elevate Harry and then use a round 4 pick in the rookie draft?

I'd say we'll pick up a kid, but one that has been training with us so we know exactly what we're getting.

we have someone else in mind, Baird was told we would not be using our PSD pick 2 on him

baird to dogs logan to pies PSD.

I have a sneaking suspicion that Scott Campreale will be a Collingwood player next year. I'm starting to warm to the idea. Woey out, Campo in, plus four new potential midfielders in the draft.

Will he come with a wheelchair.

Im excited.

I'd be happy with Campo. Ignoring the fact that I want to punch him in the head, he's not useless and we need all he help we can get in the guts. He was also a Pies supporter as a kid IIRC.

i thought campo was practically at windy hill already? isnt he training there right now?

We have a pick before Essendon in the PSD.

Hey guys .. I am under the impression and have no doubt that we do infact have pick number '2' in the Pre-Season Draft. I was reading some news on the Fox Sports website about the Pies and they have us with pick '3' behind Carlton and Hawthorn.

http://foxsports.news.com.au/story/0,8659,17380924-23211,00.html

As for how we use it .. I (like a few others on here have stated) am warming to the thought of having Campo join the Black & White. With Scotty in the middle, it can release Burns and Buckley. But with the workhorses in Licca and Dutch, and the additional pace we have just secured will ensure we are not lacking. A serviceable 2-3 years from Scotty will enable us to develop our future midfield.

I know its hard to see Scotty and Dutchy running about on the same team, but I know that Campo has a bit of white line fever, or white line dirtyness about him. Off the field he is a very genuine, very quiet kind of guy. After he dated my cousin for a couple of years (no longer), I have always looked at him a little differently, and knowing the kind of guy he is, wouldn't mind having him about the club.

I agree,it would give our young midfielders more development time as wll.

are u all mad??!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!??!!
he is 29 or something, same as woey. If we wanted campo, we shouldve kept woey. FURTHERMORE, the guys has been playing for the scum the last 12 years. How can u ignore that. he has been single handedly apart of our demise in the 90's and int he last 2 years as a carlotn player when we have played them. I cannot imagin campo at collingwood. he 9is a soft ********, gets no hard ball at all, and i don want him at collingwood, it just cant happen.

agree with everything X 15. I don't see what he would bring to Collingwood?

Collingwood wont pick up campo, they wont want to pay him the $$$$$ thats required, with Tom davidson they will probably pick him up with pick 2 mabye.

Different types of players. Campo has pace and skill that Woey lacks.

Could be a good player for 1-2 seasons while the class of 05 and 06 develop.

i seriously have no idea what kind of recycled player we could pick up. it cant be campo and please, dont even try me with cupido. but if its a young kid, then why didnt we pick him on the weekend? something doesnt add up for mine
