i think i "purchased" the game but didn't download it....i sure hope so cause with that little write up you've made me really want to play it.

it got really shitty reviews from memory which i think turned me off it.....i definitely trust your thoughts more than ppl like them that probably didn't get a free review copy or didn't get paid off for a good review or something.

also on another note i started shank 2 yesterday after having it on the system for a fair while.
can't believe it took me this long to get started on it! ripper of a game!

In addition to last week's release of San Andreas in the PlayStation Network's PS2 Classics Collection, a trio of Rockstar titles from the PS2 era have now been made available to download from the PlayStation Store for $9.99 each.
Bully
Rule the halls of Bullworth Academy as Jimmy Hopkins - a teenager who's been bounced from every previous school he's ever attended who now must navigate the obstacles of the worst school around, working his way up the social ladder of this demented institution of supposed learning, standing up for what he thinks is right and taking on the liars, cheats and snobs who are the most popular members of the student body and faculty.

Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition REMIX
Tear through the living city sprawls of Detroit, San Diego, Atlanta and Tokyo at breakneck speeds. REMIX features the entire original Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition game plus all the content included in the special Remix update - over 20 additional vehicles added to the original roster spanning all car classes.

Red Dead Revolver
The pre-cursor to Red Dead Redemption, this arcade-style third person shooter is a classic tale of vengeance on the untamed frontier and the story of Red Harlow - a bounty hunter prowling the frontier and bringing justice to wicked bandits, while desperate to unravel the identity of his family's killers. Those familiar with Red Dead Redemption's Legends & Killers Pack should remember him and the assortment of other memorable characters from this game that are available to use as multiplayer avatars in Red Dead Redemption.

For those wondering about the release of Vice City on PlayStation Network - stay tuned as we're working to bring that and a few other PS2 classics to PSN soon...

beat shank2 last night. awesome little game with 8 levels ranging from about 15-30 mins in length and a survival type mode (havn't tried yet) but the game plays with awesome fast paced ultra violent action which is always nice :p

all levels finish off with a unique style boss and the scenery is nicely varied.

not going to go in depth but it's just a great pick up and play style game which isn't too deep where you can bang out a level in 20 mins and just have a blast ripping ppl to shreds.

stoked it was one of the free games on ps+ as i would've missed it otherwise. my type of game :)

Glad I read this thread every now and then

Bought Sound Shapes yesterday and have finished the campaign, death mode, beat school and then played a whole bunch of user created levels which were all outstanding

Decided to give Knytt Underground a go tonight as I am all but done with Sleeping Dogs and don't have anything else on my table to play through now.

This is free for PS+ right now if you want to give it a go, available for both PS3 and Vita.

It's a weird game, seems like it'll be pretty good, but very weird.

It's a little Limbo, a little Outland and a lot Metroid-Vania.

You get thrown into this world of platforming with little explanation and little direction, but along the way you'll meet various people that fill out your character, world and what's going on. You also get quests from these people.

Visually, the game is very Outland, the solid black environments with background colours galore really contrasting well.

Story-wise it's Limbo, with very little real explaining (so far) and it more just about being the feel of the world and learning through look.

And the Metroid-Vania part is that you've got a huge world to explore and will back track a lot and can basically explore anywhere almost at any time, although there are some obvious limitations until I'm guessing you get more powers or something. You can get lost pretty easily, but you do have a rudimentary map very much in the Metroid form of 'block mapping'.

You also get these abilities through orbs as you go, they aren't permanent abilities (so far) and only exist on the screen you get them for the most part (or to help you get to the next screen). But there's a decent array of what you can pick up and use.

The controls are a fair bit finicky. You attach to walls and climb up them really easily, but the slightest jolt from the analogue stick sees you jump off, maybe it's a game better played with the D-Pad? The jumping is also a little loose, so you can over and under commit a fair bit.

I'm not really sure if I like it, but I think I'll keep updating here as I go. It's really weird. Has got some good reviews, so I want to give it a bit of time.

yeah i gave it a bit of a shot last week. it's not bad but it's not something i see myself going back to play.

it's definitely weird when climbing something and reaching the top if it's held a millisecond too long then he just goes flying hahaha

Thread mine for this.. Why so?
Anyway, thought I'd get bejeweled 3 as b2 was fun enough. Sign in to the store to see it priced at $37.95. WTF? Came out in 2012.
Game is $1 on phones... Did not buy.
