The first year recruits were impressive. For sure.
But what really made me happy was the performance of some of those who get next to no hype: Miller, Dow, Banks, even Sonsie when he came on.
If that tier of player can take next level it will really accelerate the rebuild.

Now I'm not a fan of Collingwood but it's great reading their board after a blues loss. 🤣
a few years ago they were barracking for them against us, absolute peanuts

Carlton - The gift that just keeps on giving.

We were down by 41 points, and I turned to my son and said "If we are 10 Goals down at half time, we might need to head home"...

This was supposed to be a complete destruction, according to Carton fans, and I agreed with them. We stuck around, as there was "something" that changed the game. Was it Nankervis in the ruck, Ross on the ball ? What was Macca doing at centre bounces.... Who is gonna kick the goals.. heck it - lets hang around and watch the kids.... They might be 18 years old, but Lalor, Trainor and Armstrong played like 150 gamers. All I wanted was a "moment" from each of them. We ended up with a second half full of highlights - and yea - Carlton COULD have stolen it - but the efforts from Miller, Vlastuin, Trezise and Broad - the dam never broke. Miller has done a number on Curnow and McKay (second time). I don't know if it is the number changes, but they look and play differently.

I think Carton kicked 2 Goals in 90 minutes of footy. Against the side Kane Cornes had written off as 'worse than Fitzroy" - He should have stuck to dry humping fire hydrants... oh wait - he couldn't even get that right.

I have to watch the replay, But Ross, Nankervis, Taranto, Macca, Lalor, Miller and Trainor stood out.

This is a game you just had to be there. It was the best game I've attended since the Dynasty. What I saw tonight won't happen every week - but I'm glad we were there to witness it.

This game is now etched in my memory. "Big things" are coming with patience, but we got a glimpse, and Lynch finished the game unscathed.

Unforgettable game. The future is only going to get brighter. I'm off to watch the replay.
