I know when you're on your Red P's you can only carry one passenger, but what is the penalty if you're caught carrying more then one?

I don't know but for some reason i'm thinking it's something pretty tough like three points..

its only one passenger between the age of 16 and 21...ie if they are older then they can also be in the car....(not 100%)

or younger then, yes? (ie younger siblings/family in the car...)

They just don't want people of those ages in the car at the same time? >_>.

I just turned 21 recently so no more P's for me. ^_^

Will someone please think of the children.

My avatar never stops thinking of the Childrenz.....

Can't remember, but just found out its 3 demerit points + a fine. Screw that, my mate can find another lift:D

Just be hardcore and do it.... its not like your stealing........just take the ****ing plates off..... i rekon you get more pigs looking at you when you have them on anyways......

What an excellent way to promote the designated driver system; placing a limit on the amount of young passengers in a car. It also helps curb the violent scenes on city streets, because drunk young people who can't get a lift with their mates and can't get a cab never become aggressive.

[/sarcasm]

yeh i agree... WTF does it matter if you have 5 or 2 ppl in your car ?

If the drunk assholes tell you to do stupid shit and you give into them then you should be driving them around anyways....

Totally agree, very stupid law.

You guys have it tough........ restricted amount of passengers!

I was on my Ps for one year after getting them when I was 16.

I didn't receive any penalties over this 12 month period and recently went for my P2s which includes the same restrictions (can't drive more than 100 km/h or drink any alcohol) but I don't have to display my P plates. I had to pass a hazard perception test on the computer to move up a rank.

Then if all goes well over the next 12 months I'll be on my full licence by the time I'm 19 :thumbsu:

Either take your P plates off all together and drive who you want or get a green set and just put them up when you need to drive more people.

Cops look out for P platers though, its easier just to not display them if you want to take more passengers.

Bad advice, you will get r*ped if you don't display your P's. Hide in the boot, nothing like having 7 people in the car over here in SA.
