Awesome thanks for the responses everyone! Sounds like the swingman is probably for me. I'm trying to find some ideas for my wife and her family for Birthday/Christmas presents for me. I'd love the authentic ones, but they're pretty pricey for what I want it for - something to wear while doing exercise or keep cool in summer by the pool or at the beach. The replicas sound like they are only one step up from the K-Mart AFL jumpers and I'd like it to be a little more authentic than that.

My swingman knicks jersey has everything ironed on, which I'm assuming would be cheaper for adidas than stitching.
Yeh my Knicks jersey's are all swingman's and have everything stitched on, whereas my Magic on is a replica and printed on.

In terms of AFL guernseys

Authentic - PI
Swingman - Retail
Replica - Kmart

Why did they base the 2010 Hawks of Liam Tobin?

Hi Iam wondering if anyone knows how I can get a Port Adelaide lace up Guernsey confirmed as Russell Eberts? My Dad was given a few guernseys years ago by Malcolm Blights Brother in law. As they played a year at North Melbourne together, I thought this might be a possibility?[/QUOTE]

Hey Brad did you get any answers on your lace up? I've got one which is very similar.

Could someone update this with Adelaide colours and name?
Yes. Someone could. In fact, it's fairly easy, so you could probably do it yourself. I'll walk you through it. Now I am on mobile so this will be rough but I'll do my best.

Firstly, open up Paint.
Use the select tool to select the space that says Leeton Whitton.
Delete it.
Use the eye drop tool to select the same colour.
Use the fill bucket to make that space the same colour as the rest of it.

What you should have now is a Crow and the 'Crows' lettering with a space in between, above the lettering.

If you want to use the same font, then you're gonna have to find out what it's called. To do that, Google 'What Da Font' and follow the prompts. You'll have to download and install the font.

To download, Google 'font name download free' or something. Once downloaded, just open up the file and it should install itself. It's all fairly straightforward.

Now, go back to Paint. You may have to quit out and open it again so that it has the newly installed font available.

Open up the 'textbox', write 'Adelaide' and adjust size/location/colour accordingly.

Let me know how this goes and don't be afraid to ask questions.

100% confirmed is probably unlikely, but the club might know a historian or two who could have some insight into whether the jumper is at least legit for Ebert's playing era (manufacturer tags, design quirks, etc.).

I've had a couple of ex players have a look (pictures only) and they seem to think it could well be. Next step is to get the great man to have a look in person and to get him to sign it.

When you guys photoshop jumpers onto players, do you just photoshop their head onto an existing player or photoshop the whole jumper onto them (which doesn't seem so easy with different collars)

Shooping the head onto the rest is easier

I'd imagine.

I figured so but the skin tones always look spot on.
I just saw that AFL Trade page and all their photoshopping and got me thinking...

What clubs are flogging off merch at the cheapest rates? I know it's an open-ended question but maybe a sales thread would be worthwhile.

More just looking at a pair of shorts to go down the shops in, the odd shirt or something. Just if there's anything at bargain prices.

This is brilliant, I would also like to know.

Head onto player is generally easiest.

If you're doing a custom guernsey, though

Also, best way to get in contact with state league sides re: jumpers.

Almost every WAFL club, probably every one, doesn't sell anything near a respectable version of their jumper. They all have stupid club logos and no sponsorships. I've shot South Fremantle an email but they still haven't gotten back to me. Surely they'd be keen to off-sell an old unused one for 70 bucks?
