I know it might be abit early for this but...

Is it possible that we can scrape into the top 8 at the end of the year, without beating a side that is in the top 8?

Has this been done before?

It's doable. We'd need to play the teams out of the eight more often than the ones in the eight - and we'd need to win nearly all of those games.

We probably need 13 wins this year, the way things are going. We got six, so we need to get 7 more.

Of the teams currently outside the 8, we have yet to play Hawthorn, Richmond, and North Melbourne. We also have returns with West Coast, Carlton, Collingwood, and Footscray. That's 7 games.

All the other teams left on the fixture are currently in the 8. So I guess it is possible, assuming the teams that are in the 8 now stay there.

I think we'll beat a couple of top 8 sides eventually though. Freo, Melbourne, Port here, Brisbane here, Sydney aren't all that flash although we play them there the next time.
