Im so confused why this bloke is still getting a game. He has only played 2 good games in his career. He is soft and will never never win a hard ball get. He cant kick for his life. I wonder how many goals he has cost the side this year. His first option is always sideways. He is terrible. He cant win one on ones. If a bloke like Obree gets dropped (who can actually win the hard and get a clearance) before Shaw its a joke. Why do most supporters think he is sooo good. Wake up to the fact that he USELESS.

Are you watching the same games of football as the rest of us?? If not, perhaps get fox footy, watch a game and then make a serious and educated assesment of a young footballer. Good luck!!!

Obviously you have only started watching footy in the last month if you can only recall Rhyce with 2 good games. Obviously a bandwagoner who actually didn't watch, what, any footy last year. Probably leading our best and fairest at the half-way mark.

For his size, do you expect him to always win one-on-ones, or be asked to go in for the hard-ball? His asset is his footy brain. He generates good leg speed and run, and I personally think he tries to put the ball in the right area's most of the time. His kicking has never been great. Everyone picked up on it in 2003.

Rhyce Shaw is gonna beat you up for that and we will all laugh because he is greater than you in every way.

Liked Rhycey's little feature in the Record this week, pretty funny might I ad, and I do want to see Didak's impersonations of us supporters. :D

Mate i do have Fox Footy and i watch the games over and over. He tries his guts out but the fact is that he aint good enough. Calling me a ''bandwagoner''. Haha. Coming from all the supporters who all wanted Shaw's head from 2000-03. All of a sudden 1 good game in 2003 against Melb where he was playing loose in defence and another in 2005 on ANZAC Day he is a superstar. However MM does sometimes play him on a marking medium foward.

More moronic babble.

Why do you have Collingwood as your team? You ain't a true Collingwood supporter. A true Collingwood supporter is passionate about the team and will stand behind the players and "support" them no matter what.

I have always said and will continue to say on these boards that Rhyce Shaw is a player worthy of a spot in the Collingwood team. Last season he was clearly our best player until he was injured. That form will come back as his confidence grows.

Once anyone pulls on the black and white, I hope he plays well. But if he doesn't, he shouldn't be immune from criticism. You don't have to think all our players are great or refrain from criticising them when they play poorly to be a 'true' supporter. THAT really would be 'moronic'.

I like Rhyce and always have. He has pace which we badly lack. In spite of the can he carried after falling over in the GF and his subsequent loss of confidence he has guts. His kicking could be better. I am probably a bit sentimental because he is a Shaw but I think he is a decent player that offers something we need. We have enough slow, soft players with ordinary skills for Rhyce Shaw to be kept on and to keep getting games at this stage. His 2006 was always going to be tough after the knee reco. He’s been up and down. I lived his efforts v Sydney.

His Father was Captain of Collingwood and retired at the age of 28
His Uncle was also captain and is the club record holder for games played
His other uncle also played for Collingwood

BTW how is Jobe going?

Are my eyes deceiving me?

You're spot on, Mark T. Rhyce needs added time to get back to full fitness. He'll be up and down. I rate him however, he possesses an enduring running ability and satisfactory skills. Before he got injured, Rhyce played in the midfield, so I can absolutely see Rhyce reappear in the midfield next year.

well where are ur posts from after the sydney game saying how racer is back to his best???

he has just come back from a knee reco, of course his form will be up and down

before doing his knee he was pretty much the only shining light in 05 for the pies

knee jerk reactions about players when they play a bad game are pathetic........post them after they have a good game if u want some perspective

You forgot his uncle was also King of Moomba.

Also his brother will win the Rising Star award more than likely.

Spot on... he is a quality midfielder when fit. Time will tell.
