How long will we get out of Spida? Some injury concerns in recent times, but generally he's been pretty durable.

What do people think?

.. then he does? Did you not watch the 06 GF? We did have two ruckmen on the day, even if they did play rubbish.

Doyley was passable on Grand Final day, but yes, Jolly was rubbish - however Jolly's much better than that when his mind is on the game

Doyle's biggest problem is his injury history, he is certainly capable of being an asset in the ruck, the only query is whether his body is up to it

Everitt will be a handy recruit, but in no way will our premiership chances rest on his success

Yes, but if Everitt does go down we still have other options. Not like what the Eagles fan seems to think.

Two Years max.

He's going to retire here of course. Hopefully an injury free run, or else the draft trade deal was a waste!

I'd rather two great seasons, instead of 3 average seasons. Anything less than 2 years is a waste, unless we win the flag this year:)

Sorry to bring up an old post, but what ratio do you think Everitt and Jolly will play in the ruck?

50/50? 60/40?

I wonder if this has even been decided yet. I"m sure the starting point was for Jolly to do most of the rucking but apparently Spida's tapwork in the centre square has been a revelation in the pre-season so that may need to be reconsidered.

I'd still expect Jolly to be #1 ruckman but perhaps Spida takes the centre square then moves forward after that?

Giant, have you been in the North Pole all pre season. They got him for his centre bounce ruck work. It has been our great weakness for years. Ball was good around the ground as has been Jolly but centre clearances is where we can improve dramatically. This is one of the reasons why we tried to cause a secondary bounce at centre bounces. Give us good first use out the centre and see how our forwards belt the opposition.
