Posters on here have been denigrating Radar for years. Not a day passes without multiple posts telling us that he should never play in Crows' colours again/must be delisted at the end of the season/ can't play footy/is the clanger king/can only play one position on the ground/Can't kick for nuts (he is close to elite)/is responsible when we lose/blah blah blah on and on and on.
The facts:
He has now played 198 games for our club. Barring injury, in three weeks time he will become one of the four per cent of AFL players to make it to 200 games. Yep, a mere four percent.
He will become the 12th Crow to reach the milestone.
I'll be there at AO for the Collingwood game and I'll be one of those cheering as this great servant of the AFC is chaired off after the game.
What will you be doing?

A pretty good AFL footballer who has had a decent career, but at the current time being nearly 31 he isn't performing so well that he should be played in place of a young developing player. These are the kind of decisions clubs have to make for their future, the kind of decisions Geelong made last year with Chapman, and Chapman is 10 times the player that Reilly is.

Geelong have made similar decisions over the course of their dominance and it is hardly surprising that they have developed younger players with games experience while still performing at the top end of the AFL. This is the 7 year of their good performance.

Say what you will, most of its warranted at times but on Sunday when we did our normal 2014 thing and give the opposition a ten minute start, I looked for who tried.

Rielly did more than anyone from my viewpoint.

Could be that we were getting flogged in the middle and he as the loose player down back just happened to come in contact with the ball as a result.

uh oh. just another thread with the same old people saying the same old crap FOR him and AGAINST him. good idea. :/

for what its worth, 200 is a great effort. was always bummed we picked him ahead of NDS. but thats always how the draft rolls and you can't hold that against brent himself. obviously won't be in our next flag, but at least gave it a go.

Don't ever confuse us with being anything even remotely like Geelong. Western Bulldogs is a better comparison.

the 200 game milestone has been soiled and become more irrelevant ever since Nick Maxwell achieved the feat a few weeks back,

anyhow, congrats to Reilly though a truly stubborn 'nearly man' who suckled off the teat of the original 'nearly man' himself, the ever young Mick Doughty, both 200 game players and will be classed within the club forever as 'true team men' but for the majority of supporters their 11-12 years of mediocrity will barely mention a blip.

Harsh but true.
