They’ve been warning this would happen the whole time. This is why they have an issue with it. I suspect none of them would support it, even though I don’t think they would be on board with CRT, maybe Jimmy.

A good example is how critical Rogan is of the agriculture gag laws in place that ban people releasing images and information of the horrendous conditions of factory farming. He does have skin in that game though because he watched a couple of videos released by animal activists and decided he’d either go vegetarian or hunt his own food, he went with hunting…..obviously.

Pool doesn’t belong in that group imo. He might be a free speech guy idk? I had to stop paying attention (not that he was ever really one of my go to people) to him when he was defending Floyd’s murderer.

Worth noting that banning things being taught in school has been going on since schools started to be a thing…so is it actually a free speech thing?

I don’t know enough about the school system over there, but do they teach religion in public schools? I only know enough to know that they’re way more religious then us.

Hate to go on about this but I really feel like I need to make myself clear, none of those people (idk know about Pool because I’ve never paid a lot of attention to him) liked █████ as President. Weinstein in particular hates him, like really hates him.

Their whole thing, (and mine fwiw) is that if you give the power of censorship eventually the other ‘side’ or the government will end up with it and they’ll just censor what they don’t like.
It’s inevitable.

Unfortunately I was working. I had every intention of knocking off a bit early and heading to my local for a quick drink, just because I could. However, I got stuck in a meeting until after 6pm.

Pro tip: NEVER schedule a 45 minute meeting with a bunch of engineers for 4pm on a Friday.

I've got a table booked at a local pub brewery this afternoon which I'm pretty pumped about. Looking forward to some pints, BBQ ribs and generally talking sh*t with mates.

It is a little more of a grey area with schooling as it is teaching material, rather not being allowed to outright discuss something etc. There’s a difference between speech and deciding what can be taught to kids. Teaching kids is also different to the conflict of ideas and exposure to rationality that we have as adults. Kids don’t have that some critical thinking ability as we do.


Outright bans will do more harm than good though. One, they inevitably go over the top and can potentially ban important stuff about race and history, thereby removing the teaching of balanced history. Two, it makes it a forbidden fruit down the line. Its features, history and good and bad aspects need to be discussed at later stages of schooling. Lastly, this form of censorship is straight out of the crt handbook, so why sink to their level. I also rather parents understand what the fear is themselves, rather than parroting points from others.

Sounds awesome. Enjoy mate. I couldn’t get in anywhere today to catch up with my parents so we’re going to their place. Some places were booked out till halfway through November, even big beer gardens.
