Lakatos argues otherwise.

Lakatos explains that his purpose is to challenge mathematical formalism, and to show that informal mathematics grows by a logic of "proofs and refutations".

Who knew philosophy of mathematics could be so fun. Proofs and Refutations is a great read.

That's going to depend on your bullshit isn't it?

What did you get?

The chromosome answer is correct, and the mitosis/meiosis one is correct in perspective (yes it only happens in eukaryotes, but that's to do with the chromosomal differences to start with - some eukaryotes are haploid or have a haploid stage after all).

The exam was today, so I have no idea. I'm good at bullshit though, and I talking about basic stuff like 3' and 5' ends, complementary bases etc. to pad it out. Plus diagrams. Definitely worth a mark.

Aaand everyone knows that maths is for losers.

I'm thinking of dropping Physics and taking up Calc 2. Thoughts?

Who knew philosophy of mathematics could be so fun.

Try saying that with a straight face.:p

Whomb that's a bit deep:p

You're a bit of an artiste (that's a fancy word for artist:D) Frothies? I'm thinking of studying visual art at Melbourne/Deakin Uni next year. No crazycutmyearoffo.

Appreciate the advice Ben. but it will clearly work better because this time people actually know about it. ;)

Enjoy your Bear Grylls end of exam party.

And your media coverage.

Oh wait.;)

True.

tbh, Uni is very much overrated. As is VCE/HSC etc.

You don't need either to earn lots of money, which is the reason why nearly everybody does Uni.

Right now I'm just doing it because I've started and don't want to be a drop out; it's for my sense of self accomplishment more than anything.

I don't want to do anything in History, it's just what I fell into.

I much prefer (and learn more effectively) to learn in my own time, reading at my own pace in a structure I so desire.

Seems like if I can do that, and live comfortably thanks to working my way up in any generic job, I'm wasting my time far less than studying things I have no interest in because it's what society deems normal.

You don't need a History degree when you're Mr. Olympia, tbh.

This is my point. Nothing wrong with further education, I just dont know why it is done just for the sake of it. If you know what you want to do, or have a good idea then go for it.

I think I should point out that I never went to uni...... Obviously :p

So you'll be coming to games with us?

Sure thing. We can make the Eagles v Bombers game a tradition. But the question is, do you guys enjoy having scarves and/or flags waved in your face?

Pretty sure I'm actually going to try and get a job at the MCG / Etihad / a footy club. Don't judge me, let me dream guys :).
