He was my first real wrestling favourite but I have always wondered why he went from the 'legend killer' to the viper? He was always a great talent but I always preferred him as a face and as the legend killer.

What happened? Why was his character altered so much?

I don't know if I am the only one but I find his gimmick quite stale atm. Still a lot better than Cena's though.

His character wasn't really intentionally altered. The fans just started loving him, so the WWE put him up against heels.

The WWE have a habit of ignoring past feuds, though. I love how there is so much respect between Cena and Orton, considering Orton once punted Cena's father in the head.

Personally around 04/05 and Rated RKO were my favourite years. Loved his feud with HHH and the survivor series match they had.

Lulz yea just thinking back, that was as close to a blood fued as there's been in the WWE over the past few years. Only maybe Orton/Triple H had stronger hate between them.

Was a huge fan of his in the legend killer stage

now he sucks. His matches are real shit now and he has lost moves.

The WWE seriously needs a legend killer type who doesn't care about titles. Someone who could defeat a title holder (Say, Cena in 6 months time) and then give up the title because they don't give a ****. They'd then just move on to the next Champion. It would be a great way to put an end to overly annoying faces, or heels even, if you make them a tweener.

Batista would have been perfect for it.

Jeff Hardy would be Perfect for that role.

Jeff Hardy sucks, I don't want to see him being a main eventer in the WWE ever again.

You can't have the same gimmick forever otherwise shit goes stale, unless you're The Rock or Stone Cold and even they adjusted their persona's over a period of time, just look at John Cena, he is the definition of a stale gimmick

But kid's respond positively to repetition
