Can some people please give me some feedback on my team? For round 1..

Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Grimes, Duffield, Otten, Heppell
Emerg: Toy, Duigan, Puopolo.

Mids: Swan, Selwood, Priddis, Anthony, Melksham, Gaff
Emerg: Swallow, Harris, Hibberd.

Rucks: Sandilands, Ryder
Emerg: Smith, Derickx.

Forwards: Riewoldt, Didak, Pavlich, O'Keefe, Krakouer, Mzungu, Richardson
Emerg: Tapscott, Matera, Callinan.

Backline looks solid, Duffield is a bit of a unique, but a quality player.
Not sure on Melksham and Anothy in your midfield, probably best to go with just one mid priced player. Especially in your midfield, becuase thats where you will make the bulk of your points. If your going to make a risk do it in the forwards where there are less available premiums.

Would also swap out Gaff for a rookies with mid/forward MPP to take advantage of the abundance of MPP in your forward line. Pav and O'keefe are not the best options imo, I think Pav might be beyond his best, and if O'keefe continues in his run with role with sydney his scores will not improve. You would be smart to trade out Didak as he is carrying an injury and he has said he will not be playing through the midfield muc (translation = decrease in score)

Find better forward rookies, Tapscott will not play a full season, and Callinan is injured.

Vince is pretty risky - He was terrible last year. You could just go with Harris instead.
You definitely need a good Ruck - in other words pick up Sandi
Which Roo are you talking about? If Jack upgrade to the other one.
I think its worth the extra money to upgrade Bartel to Selwood.
Bartel has been on the decline since 07 whilst Selwood is getting better and better.

It's not a bad team, the one major change needed is to have 2 premium rucks.

I quite like the look of your side but similar to mine in a way in that i see 2 blokes who are risks. J Kennedy whilst being a good player has yet to prove he can reach that bracket of consistent 100 point scorers and i fear could potentially be abit of a team clogger in that he gets you 70 or 80 points a week but won't give you that extra money in the kitty. Mitch duncan i think is also in a similar boat. He will be a good player and could have a good year. He might average 70 points but i also think richardson, prestia etc will be able to do that. I recomend downgrading duncan to a rookie therefore giving you an extra 100-150k in cash and i would then turn J.Kennedy into a premium.
Those are my thoughts.

Balanced looking team. I'm not sure about Duncan though, at his price you really need him to become a keeper, he will get some good scores but is probably a year off having the consistency you want. Risk vs reward is good but considering you already have other potential based selections in Higgins and Kennedy the risk grows.

Also having 3 premiums from St Kilda may hurt you come St kildas byes, having over 1.5 million on the bench isn't ideal.

overall one of the better teams i think i've seen. my only possible suggestion would be pushing puopolo and richardson onto the emergencies and maybe downgrading another player (possibly burgoyne) to fit in 2 who are more likely to deliver as players starting on the field.

i have thought about the downgrade of mid to fwd, but i just dont like anyone in the fwds enough to do it.

There are a few risks, but i dont think you can make a team this year without them!

As for Gaff for Harris, well i aleady have Swallow for GC, so i dont really want another GC midfielder. Only other one id think to put in for Gaff is Polec, which i might do.

The reports on Gaff aren't too good.
If i had to choose between Swllaow and Harris I would most likely go Harris and save money also. However there is no reason why you can't have them both.

Forwards are tricky, I'm just not a big fan of Yarran hence the upgrade. i can't see him averaging over 95 and becoming a keeper

Got a few iffy players.. Broughton's durability is a concern, and Chapman stuggling this pre-season. would love to get Judd in there somehow but would need to drop Gibbs or Yarran as I try not to have more then 2 players from the same team, starting. Onto Yarran, looking good.. bit of a risk. Could go Veszpremi as another option I guess. Quite comfortable with the Guns N' Rookies in the midfield approach.. think most of the rookies I've selected would play 90% of matches and should score reasonably well. Look forward to the criticism lol!
