Lets hear about what you have and what youve had

I had a Nokia N95 was ok when i took my pakage i treated my self to a new one went for the N97 not the best unless you have a desk job has a keyboard but its not that big no good for me and my fat fingers.You can type on the screen but you need a pointer

Now i have a Iphone and its very good only 2 faults is no songs for Messages and not that easy to get them as ringtones and the Camera has no flash

First mobile I had which was mine was the Nokia 3310. Great phone.
nokia3310.jpg

Everyone had one of these. Couldnt go wrong with it. The amount of games of snake I played....

Then had a sony ericsson k700, which was good, though my wonderful wife put it through the washing machine 4 months into a 2 year contract:
se-k700-350x300.gif

Still worked after the washing machine 'incident', though not greatly. The joystick in the middle struggled for the last 6 months. Got me through the contract.

Have had a Samsung a711 for the past 2 1/2 years which has worked like a dream:

Ill upgrade when it stops working. I like to keep my mobile as a phone mainly. If I want a camera ill buy a camera. If I want a computer ill buy another notebook.

First phone was the same as Macca's with a Holden cover. Had a Sony Ericsson for a while, but now have got myself an Iphone and absolutley love it!:thumbsu:

Snap.

First phone was some Nokia and then went onto to a Motorola, now have an iphone.

Will get a blackberry in July next year when my current contract runs out.

First phone I had was a Nokia 5110, then had the 3310. I had a couple of other Nokia's, then made the mistake of getting a N95 - the worst phone I've ever had (and the only time I've contemplated breaking my contract just to get rid of it). As a result of the N95 disaster, I refused to get another Nokia (and reccommended a few people against the N97), so got myself the Samsung Omnia i900 and I love it.

Started with this:

Motorola_T180.gif

Hated it, didn't have games.

Then like the rest of the planet this:

nokia3310.jpg

Which I loved, I then moved onto this:

nokia8250.jpg

Which was also pretty good.

Then technology moved and I wanted colours and a camera and got this:

26.jpg

Which was ugly but effective. That got stolen so I moved onto:

nokia7250i.jpg

Which I didn't mind but was a bit girly which eventually broke making me get:

Which led me to my current phone the:

Which I hate and am currently weighing up smart phones to purchase.

Nice little stroll down amnesia lane there:eek:

Nokia 3310 with a holden cover I think. Beast.
nokia3310.jpg

Nokia 6100. Pretty good phone for its time had all the latest features. think I was the first one at school to have polyphonic ringtones.
no610000.jpg

Sagem Myx-6. Apart from the flimsy feel to it this was actually a good phone. Again I had to be the first guy with a camera I knew and this one was cheap. Had the best camera for its time. Not even sure if Sagem are still in business.
sagemmyx6.jpg

SE K700i. I didn't like the Sony Ericcson. Just didn't like how everything was set out. The body soon felt flimsy and made those annoying creaking noises everytime you used it. Was an okay phone.
se-k700-350x300.gif

Motorolla SLVR L7. Again I am not a fan of anything other than Samsung or Nokia for ease of use. This one was a bit annoying. There were very limited settings. Ringtones were too quiet and the vibration was poor. Camera was average. Looked cool but not a great phone.
motoslvrl7.jpg

Samsung D900. I did like this phone it was my first Samsung and I fell in love with them. So easy to use. Slider was great. Camera was 3.2 megapixels, which was cutting edge at the time. The only problem I had with it was the ringtones were a little quiet and it had poor vibration.
samsungd90000.jpg

Nokia N95. This would have been the ideal phone if it wasn't for 1 thing. Terrible build quality. The slider for instance felt like you were grinding 80 grit sand paper to it. Dirt and sand just got in there too easily. The workings of the phone are brilliant. Cutting edge camera for its time with a great flash, easy to use and ringtones were very loud and vibration good. I ended up destroying it in a drunken rage one night. It went in the fire, then finished up in the fish tank. RIP
nokian9500.jpg

My current phone the Samsung INNOV8. This is the best phone ever made in my eyes. Everything is just perfect. Build quality after a year is awesome. Slider still smooth and no creaks when you press buttons. 8 megapixel camera is top of the range. So many settings for customization. The sound is second to none I always hear it ringing. Holds a phenomenal amount of text and contacts. It is very fast although sometimes the photo album is a bit laggy due to my memory card nearly being full. I would highly recommend this phone for anyone who doesn't want to be a douche and have a touchscreen. Takes a big poo all over the stupid Iphone.

Geez i've had a lot of phones.

Ill add my story of phones in here tomorrow but geez, N95 worst phone ever?? Easily one of the best ever, had my 95 8gb for 20 months and it was still kicking strong at the end. So much community support in terms of apps etc. for it as well.

Currently got a Iphone 3gs and jailbroken is an AmAzInG piece of hardware. There isn't much you can't do with this. Besides the lack of camera (digital cameras are so cheap/small now anyway) its the perfect phone. I was worried about the lack of keys but after 1 week you dont really notice, touchscreen will never be as fast as keypad but its about as close to perfect as you could get.

I think this was my first one........looks familiar,

sony%20ericsson%20t28.jpg

Now I have this

Nokia-6210_2.jpg

I dont mind it, it does the job. I have also put it through the washing machine, as I have every other Nokia and it still works. However after having it for about a year and half the number three sticks. So I must be due for another phone.

.

First I had dads old phone, pretty crap;
GA628.jpg

Then I got one my uncle gave me, had bluetooth before anyone had any idea what it was;
ericsson_flip_t39_bluetooth_gsm_triband-150-150.jpg

After that broke, got a prepaid motorola, very average. What coke used for the 'Coke Phone';
motorola-c200-2.gif

Then I got, I was one of the first with a camera, and polyphonic ringtones at my school;
nokia6220.jpg

Mum got a new contract but didn't want the phone, so I claimed this one;
nokia-6110-navigator.jpg

I needed a new contract so I got;
NOKIA_6220_CLASS_4a5a4b04efb86.jpg

Then I broke that, what other phone would I pick than;
iphone_3gs.jpg

Wow, I have never actually realised how many phones I have had, since 2002 when I was 12! Thats like 1 a year on average!

iPhone is the best phone by miles.

Jailbreaking is the way to go!:thumbsu: Can improve the camera, get a video recorder on the 3G, free apps etc... AWESOME.

Yep - the first one I had kept resetting itself (which 3 replaced after a week). However, the GPS on it was completely useless, it always defaulted to western Europe and once in a blue moon would have it correctly located (I ultimately ended up purchasing a Navman). The mobile internet on it lasted 18 months before it died, the software upgrade wouldn't work and Nokia refused to repair it. That was the final straw, I waited for my blanket period to kick in on my contract and got the Omnia.

that's because you have to download a flash application, it's pretty bad that it doesn't come on it but I had to download the app, it works though I can't remember what it's called

ive got the iphone 3g , one of the best pphones but the battery live is poor, have to charge it everynight...but the good thing is you can always update the software.....

i have an iPhone and its not until you jailbreak the phone do you realise just how much good stuff you can do with it
im not really talking about free apps, but functional tools... basically the raw iphone is crippled out of the box... jailbreaking unlocks a whole world of goodness that the iphone can actually do

lol, you Gen Y's and your new fangled digital phones.

OK. Well, lets start at the start. It was hot the day I was born. let me tell you, in those days we had proper heat, not this soft politically correct heat the kids think is tough today, "oooh oooh please, don't burn me, I was born after 1975 and I'm fragile". No sirree!! In the old days we'd line up for hours, wearing three layers of fur at midday in the middle of summer, just to jump into a roaring fire in the middle of the volcano. We knew heat back then, I'm telling you! Anyway, it was just after the war and I was walking to school in three feet of snow with a possum strapped to my head for warmth, with a bush biscuit for lunch and we were thankful if we had some lard spread on it....... where was I? Oh yeah

Now when I started, I had a house brick, I give you the Nokia 101 - Analogue baby! Analogue. Yes that is an aerial, yes you had to pull it up.

o8ex49.jpg

then we went all new age, not that anyone thought we needed it, like digital with its longer numbers would ever catch on, similar to that stupid dvd idea.

Nokia 1610

2hhhzlh.jpg

I lost mine in the Myer Centre one day, its in a blue leather pouch if anyone sees it, don't be thinking you have scored yourself some cool retro item, I expect it to be handed in!

since then I have had a myriad of Nokias like those above, a rubbish LG that came out that was one of the first colour screened phones (but no camera) and a couple of Samsung slide phones that were great.

Now I have the Nokia E71, it was the least ugliest thing in the store.
