Lets face it this bloke has virtually no experience as a coach at AFL level and seems to have got the gig at Carlton as he is a 'Carlton man'.

It was comical on Thurs night, he has done nothing about winning the contested ball, has no game plan and his players are badly drilled (well coached teams don't have players crashing into each other).

Surely this bloke is a caretaker whilst Carlton work on getting a bloke who can actually coach.

Spot on. They wanted a man that represented their culture. A first round loss was the perfect result.

At least clubs know at least one win a year is assured.

No no no no , Harvey reckons they are the best and one day when Harvey wakes up from dreaming of the past he will be sacked .
Come to think of sacking a coach perhaps its a toss up who goes first - Wallace , Bailey , Ratten , Craig or Harvey .

Everyone has to start somewhere which he did when he coached Norwood to a premiership in the EDFL then underwent his AFL coaching apprenticeship at Melbourne and Carlton.

Actually, that's not true. He was assistant coach at Melbourne during one of their "up" years. Some Melbourne supporters even claimed he helped improve their mids in that very year.

Well then, maybe he should go out on the field and show them how it's done? After all, his quality as a player was winning the hardball - if he can't teach them the basics of this then I'd be very worried. Early days yet, but if we show much the same vs the Saints... it will not be pretty.

has no game plan

Every coach has a game plan, difference is effectiveness and the players' ability to execute it.

(well coached teams don't have players crashing into each other)

Yes, they do. It happens. The fault of collisions that can be avoided lies with the players - lack of communication.
