Razor was going for the ball, but no doubt the MRP will deem it reckless and he'll miss the last game, leaving him on 99 games at the end of the season.

Dare we trade him on 99 games and risk missing out on his sons.

haha omg whatever would we do if that happened!

That handball of his last night that directly resulted in a goal to them, that was vintage Razor :thumbsu:

On the other hand, he backed back into 2 bombers players at centre half forward and prevented a certain goal later on.

He seems like a nothing player... lol.

Hes not strong enough, hes not that quick, he doesnt have the best skills, he's too short for a ruckman (not big enough), hes been tried as a key forward/key backman...

Razors report will be dropped. It was accidental high contact that happens in football when men put their bodies on the line chasing the ball.

Hall is actually pretty quick and athletic with a massive kick on the run. The previous 2 years he had really become a fairly handy defender. This year he has had his injuries and was rushed back in. He is a good back up player and plays well running at half back when he is on his game. But he is no good at fullback trying to wrestle in the goal square. I think we might hold onto him and hope he gets a full preseason and stays injury free. When Kellaway and Gaspar are injured, we only really have Thursfield and Hall as key defenders. Unless Schultz is played in defence too, but we lose a good forward option then. I'm hoping Gaspar has a couple more years in him at least.

Razor aint the sharpest tool in our shed and no I agree not a key defender. However, he is a pretty damn good 3rd defender apart from the odd brainfart when he gets too long to think, What I like about him is the bit of mongrel he adds in our otherwise pretty timid backline. High time we had some intimidators I reckon. God I miss the likes of Sheedy, Brown, Balme, Jess, McGhee...ahhhh the good ole days...lmao

The thing I like about Hall is that he just draws a line between himself and the ball and never deviates from that line. His attack on the ball and courage is something our kids can learn from.
Its just a shame that his disposal and brain farts cost us so dearly every now and again

Yes totally agree.

Cant take a grab in the forward line (dont know why)
Not quick enough on the wing and lacks the motor
Cant take a dangerous backman

However with a full squad he is good value as a third tall. He isnt worked so hard that way and can play more of his own game. Can push forward that way and have a stint on the bench. At the moment he is totally out of his league and getting flogged.

I also agree with the mongrel comment, however we havent witnessed much of it since the 2001 semi-final.

appart from a couple of typical mistakes in his game i thought he has played really well the last two weeks. i agree though that he should be the third tall or play up the ground more.

well put TT, although I may stop a tad short of "pretty damn good" and replace with a solid 3rd tall. and in that sense could then be excused for a mistake or two.

Apart from that f#$# up he was pretty good on Sat night:thumbsu:

trade bait. but will anyone want him thats the question.

:) AIRPORT West would be keen, as would no doubt Keilor Park, Montmorency, Boronia Park, Old Essendon Grammarians, Doveton, St Albans and Keysborough!:)

Seriously, as a third tall defender, he goes okay. But his game has never realkly come on!

I think we like to forget that all good sides are made up of a handful of stars and some others that get dragged along for the ride who can cut it because of those around them make them look like they can. I honestly think Razor and Tivendale fit into that category with us and as we get better, so will they. By way of explanation look at how intimidating and imposing Brad Scott and Robert Copeland look these days without others around them.. Look very very average. Also can you tell me who was 3rd defender in last years Swnas flag winning side...and then is he better than Ray Hall? Thats what we need to be comparing with, and not Ray Hall with KP defenders.

The guys we want filling these roles are those with commitment, straight ahead attack on the ball and enough skills to get it to someone more skilled reasonably quickly and reliably. Add in a drop of mongrel and the mix is close. Ray has most of that IMHO.

Main board has a thread saying that Didak was cleared, as heard on SEN.
If this is the case, then Hall has to get off as well.

From AFL site:

Richmond's Ray Hall can also accept a one-match ban for engaging in rough conduct against Essendon's Damien Peverill.

The incident was assessed as reckless conduct, medium impact, in play and high contact - equating to 225 points or a two match ban but that was increased to 247.5 points because Hall had a previous two-match suspension on his record.

But with an early plea he can accept 185.63 points and a one-match ban.

Stiff to get a holiday for that

Too slow to think and we have given him long enough ... more than the odd "brain fart" TT

We need to strive to improve every year and he is someone that really needs to be under the microscope .

His only saving grace could come in the form of a lack of genuine options down back ... at best he gets one more year whilst we keep drilling for oil

So Razor gets a week, and Didak gets off of this:eek:

If you dont mind umpire!!!!!

What a ****ing disgrace, and this is the 4th time Ive found myself wondering this season if the AFL is rigged and corrupt.

:) HOW many weeks would it have been if the roles were reversed, say a Scotland hit on Didak?
Minimum two!
Whole system is farcical!
