Moore - a couple of decent things but pretty much unsighted for most of the game prior to going down

Fasolo - not all that damaging but fairly involved, have a feeling we'll lose him for a significant time

Sidebottom - great first half and one of our major contributors overall

Pendleburry - inspiring first 3 quarters but was actually woeful in the last, can be excused due to busting his gut earlier

Cox - showed some zest for contest in patches but rather subdued game

Oxley - 2 possibly even 3 stinkers in a row, when he gets the ball you can be sure we aren't going forward in a hurry

White - clearly nowhere near right but fought hard

Crocker - good dose of mongrel and a decent kick, went out of the game due to fitness

Reid - didn't get many accolades during the game but was superb

Toovey - not enough data

Howe - just brilliant

De Goey - questionable selection at pick 5 at the time and still looking this way despite showing some glimpses of talent along the way, would be a star if these was the 90's

Greenwood - great job on the Bont

Treloar - good game just not as brilliant as he's been of late

Crisp - solid 4 quarter performer

Varcoe - been disappointing for a while now

Grundy - thought he lowered his colours to Campbell and looked very cumbersome today

Maynard - excellent all day and held his own when Tooves went down

Smith - very nervous start but urned it around after half time

Blair- regulation set shot, a couple of great tackles at the start of the last, otherwise a liability

Frost - did a number on Redpath who is no slouch

Adams good start but a second quiet game in a row, should go back on the ball

Um, you are talking about Brayden Maynard yeah?

Can't agree on Sidebottom. Hugely ineffectual game from him. Very very costly turnovers from Steele multiple times. Didn't shepherd for Pendles in the last who could have run closer to a shot on goal.

Some of you need to look at more than just possessions as a measure of the quality of a player's game.

Oxley unfortunately played his worst game for Collingwood.

Other than that, most of the other players were mostly ok or good. De Goey needs to lift.

Agree with most of that.

Although I think Moore was quite good throughout the match.
Agree with Ed on Sidebottom. Got plenty of it but made a lot of crucial mistakes.
Adams was great until going down, he's going to be a huge loss.
I think De Goey is suffering from not getting many minutes in the guts. His clearance ability is his defining trait, IMO. He's still a bit off the pace of AFL, very often is smothered or tackled. Needs to keep getting games pumped into him.

I too thought that Steele was ineffectual at times. Oxley had one cracking spoil for the game. Unfortunately it was Howe that he spoiled:rolleyes: I've tried to be reasonably fair minded with Oxley because I don't think he's as bad as some make out, but he was pretty bloody horrible today.

Howe, Treloar, Pendlebury and Reid all fantastic.

Good to see Crisp getting back to last years form and I also thought White played a very good game. He looks much better when he plays up the ground and can use his pace and agility to his advantage.

Oxley was the only one who played poorly enough to be dropped. Fortunately for him with all the injuries we have he will most likely keep his place.

I thought the entire half-back line worked tremendously as a unit. Before the last quarter, it only really got cracked about three times. Howe and Reid got all the touches but Frost, Oxley and Maynard were all part of it as well.

I thought it was really poor. Too often did we fall apart and have 4 bulldogs players free inside their F50.

I wish Langdon had his head and ankle right. We'd have a decent alternative.

Gonna have to pull you up on that one Ed! Don't get me wrong, he wasn't good today, and it was his worst game for the season... but his game against the Bullies last season causes me to wake up in a cold sweat some nights. Dear God.

Other than youngsters running around not getting near the footy, last year's game by ox against the dogs was the worst individual game I've seen in collingwood jumper and I watched just about every game in the Tony Shaw years.

Is Pendles getting enough love on here? Seriously, he is really hitting a purple patch. Several times today I was in awe of his quickness and vision. Also starting to link up nicely with that other young chap, with quick hands and brain, Treloar.:D

Lead virtually ll day but missed several easy shot-on-goal chances to get a defend-able lead.

All players showed fatigue in the end and skills errors crept in:

Moore - a couple of decent things but pretty much un-sighted for most of the game prior to going down -

#Does some very mature things for his young age and experience, gets in good spots doesn't hold as many marks now as he should and will, developing well

Fasolo - not all that damaging but fairly involved, have a feeling we'll lose him for a significant time

#tried his guts out and was playing well till injured

Sidebottom - great first half and one of our major contributors overall

#one of our best

Pendleburry - inspiring first 3 quarters but was actually woeful in the last, can be excused due to busting his gut earlier

#our best player till the last quarter when fatigue took its toll and a couple of uncharacteristic turnovers cost us

Cox - showed some zest for contest in patches but rather subdued game

#Not really in the game much today

Oxley - 2 possibly even 3 stinkers in a row, when he gets the ball you can be sure we aren't going forward in a hurry

#Back line was under enormous pressure all day, run and pace was frenetic, Ox played well without being outstanding

White - clearly nowhere near right but fought hard

#Injury probably meant he should not have payed, he was absent all day and when he got his chance to kick an important goal failed to make the distance from 40 out.

Crocker - good dose of mongrel and a decent kick, went out of the game due to fitness

#Good young kid taking his chance, really like his attack on the contest

Reid - didn't get many accolades during the game but was superb

#Really held the backline together when it was under enormous pressure

Toovey - not enough data

#

Howe - just brilliant

#Brilliant game repelled attack after attack in the third when it was on the line.

De Goey - questionable selection at pick 5 at the time and still looking this way despite showing some glimpses of talent along the way, would be a star if these was the 90's

#Does some wonderful work and developing nicely

Greenwood - great job on the Bont

#excellent tagging job

Treloar - good game just not as brilliant as he's been of late

#Another who tried hard and ran his legs off

Crisp - solid 4 quarter performer

#In great form and tried extremely hard

Varcoe - been disappointing for a while now

#Severely disrupted season so far and it showed today

Grundy - thought he lowered his colours to Campbell and looked very cumbersome today

#Tried hard but up against a monster today, just not big enough a couple of times

Maynard - excellent all day and held his own when Tooves went down

#Tough, hard and reckless, gives away frees he needs to learn he shouldn't and although a beautiful kick burns it at times.

Smith - very nervous start but urned it around after half time

#Pressure told on a few occasions but a good game for a kid having a remarkable first season

Blair- regulation set shot, a couple of great tackles at the start of the last, otherwise a liability

#20 disposals, 6 tackles, does well but as our small forward he just doesn't hit the scoreboard enough

Frost - did a number on Redpath who is no slouch

#Mister fumbles when its on the deck but he kills so many contests, I thought he had a really good game with a few customary fumbly moments

Adams good start but a second quiet game in a row, should go back on the ball

#these ultra high paced, quick decision games see him turn it over a bit too much but was solid till he went off.
