A forward-line performing as well as our back-line would have seen a much different result today. We wait.........
It was so frustrating to see our forwards consistently pushing too far up the ground, resulting in our running defenders & midfielders having to hold the ball up or kick sideways when they found themselves in the clear. It was a repeat of what we have seen from our forwards for a few years now.

Kerridge at his best has kicked bags of 6 and 4 goals in a game (ironically both against Norf) as a midfielder. We don't have too many mids who have ever done that.

The problem for Kedge at the moment could be that the gulf between his best and worst is almost the size of the Grand Canyon, but time is on his side and if he brings his best and worst closer together...

Not to mention the continual "first thought look behind and kick back" play.

His brain-snaps are very Russellesque.

they are facts. whether they improve in the future or not, right now today they are facts.

Ed was the same a few years a back and has got it together so fingers crossed for kedge and the blues.
No they are not facts, they are your opinion. Where do people get off proclaiming their opinion as facts?

Kerridge is already a better ball user than Ed was a few years back & today demonstrated that when he plays the percentages he can be quite damaging, as he has shown in other games this year (& games with the Crows). Yes he has had games where his disposal & ball handling have been ordinary, but again that is just part of the inconsistency that comes with youth & inexperience. Cripps has games when his disposal & ball handling are terrible, as have Gibbs & Murphy, but you can't them describe these players as having shocking skills & ball control.

Clearly part of Bolt's game plan is to look for a quick switch, but I would imagine this would only apply when in the back half & as part of setting up an attacking foray along the opposite wing. It certainly shouldn't need to happen when we are looking to run forward & the player with ball in hand looks up, only to find 2-3 Eagles defenders having a mother's club meeting inside our F50 & not a Carlton forward within cooee.

Happy with the effort today, really makes those whom have played this season who at best lack consistency of effort stand out like the proverbial pair of dog aggots.

Not mentioning any names, Andrejs Everitt.....

That type of effort should be obligatory, not conditional.

Really liked Bucks' run and carry. I was skeptical earlier in the season but defensive wing is the perfect position for him.

Weitering was solid up forward and shows the same composure and footy IQ that makes him so dangerous.

Curnow and Silvagni are both going to be very good footballers based on the few snippets we've seen of each. As mentioned, those contested marks Jack was pulling in in the last belied his size and experience.

Doc and Simmo fantastic as per usual and great to see Cripps and Gibbs respond after a poor first half.

mate the bloke cant hit the broadside of a barn by foot. u can be as eloquent as you want, it wont change that.
Cripps' kicking is probably worse.
and comparing their kicking to murphs or bryces borders on moronic.
In my opinion of course.

I just don't recall such a dominant clearance player as Cripps when he gets on a roll in last quarters. The momentum he generates is irrepressible. He just needs the opposition to grow weary a little bit and the gap between them and him is a yawning chasm. With 5 disposals in the first half, I thought he would struggle to get to 20.

14 disposals, 8 clearances, 8 contested possessions, 1 goal in the last quarter. If only he could do it more consistently when the pace is still in the game.

And did it whilst carrying a West Coast jockey around as well.
