I hope it is a shootout, we've got many more attacking options than the blues.

Based on the selected teams I'd say you're full of it. We have four forwards (Betts, Garlett, Waite, Henderson) capable of putting scoreboard pressure on you. You have us beat with the premier goal scorer of the two teams, Pavlich, but apart from that you're relying on your midfielders kicking you a winning score.

It was all well and good early in the season when you had Barlow kicking you a couple of goals every week.

I find it absolutely hilarious that Ballantyne is not in the Dockers team. Unless he comes in it hurts you. He's easily the second most gifted goal kicker on your list, 32 goals this season.

The game will be won in the midfield unless Pavlich plays an absolute blinder and kicks six or seven when the game is in the balance (or blows Carlton out of the water early). The Dockers obviously have the premier ruck but we have the better smaller and midsized mids by a clear margin.

I anticipate Judd playing an absolute pearler of a game. Unless we get destroyed early in the game I expect Carlton to get over the line. Here's hoping that's the case and that the Pies knock the Hawks off. Would love to play the Dockers two consecutive weeks having beaten them over there.

Murph's Perth Diary - Pt 1

We headed to Subiaco at 9am for a 10am session. The weather was sensational, but the ground was a still a bit slippery, I think they must have had the sprinklers on a couple of hours prior to our session.

It was a short and sharp session, and I thought the boys moved really well, hopefully a good sign of things to come.

We had a team meeting at the ground following training and then headed back to the hotel for a walk in the pool and some lunch.

Interesting outlook on things. If karma comes into play, and cheating is frowned upon by the gods then the Carlton bus will crash on the way to the game and everybody on it will die a horrible and painful death while at the same time the offices at Princes Park will be struck by a lightning bolt from an other wise clear night sky, burning the place to the ground and destroying all of Carlton's memorabilia and treasured mementos.

We did cheat BUT we've done our time and suffered during that time. Talking about our players deserving to die for it shows that you are beyond feral and a disgrace to humanity.

I hope you enjoy your red card :thumbsu:

Typical of a low life scum bag organization that the Fremantle Dockers truly are. Half of the WAFL teams are more professionally run than they are.

I hope we kill 'em.

The Dockers cheated more than most to get their list. You honestly cannot tel me that at least half the time they haven't tanked!

Instead of it being Carltank it ought to be the Fremantle Tankers. They're the A grade experts at it.

don't know about that but the Ellenbrook u12's certainly is

Who normally gets the job on Pav? Don't really see a good match up for him.
I'll back Jamo to wear him like a glove while he's in the forward line. They'll have to be very conscious of him when he's in the middle because he's very tough to tackle.

If you're fatigued, maybe you should have rested your players last week.

Oh wait.

You don't hear Carlton fans bemoaning the fact Kreuzer and Lucas are missing from our best 22.

Yet Carlton are fielding a younger side than Fremantle this week.

I read in The Australian that the rested players were watching on last week, so they still flew to Tasmania and sat through another long flight.

Great idea.

If that's the case, WC will take the redundant Ballantyne off your hands and give you pick four for your surplus forward.

I hope you've got some players to cover our attacking options with Tarrant and the dud Silvagni missing due to injury.

On paper, your midfield doesn't look like world beaters with Barlow and Palmer missing.

Hill's nightmare run with his failure to beat a tag this year might continue if Carrazzo runs to him. Carrazzo usually plays well against one dimension mids such as Davey, Dal Santo and Rich. Would have the running power to take Hill after he played on Ablett last week and held him when he was in the midfield.

McPhee might have three Tasmanians running through him if he even looks at Judd this week.

I hope Pavlich's soft skin doesn't tear again if he cops another errant elbow to his face.

God knows how the great man missed his nose.

Flirting with home final

Flirting with home final
Quote from James Hird, Herald Sun, 27 August 2010:

"To think that you can lose your form or ability to play in 13 days is ridiculous.

With the sports science and training that players are doing now, our game is moving beyond the boundaries traditionally set for it.

Geelong, Hawthorn, St Kilda and now Fremantle, to name a few, have all manipulated their training and playing to ensure they perform at their best when it really counts - in September.

A fit list, fresh players and a sniff at the finals is all you can ask for this time of year - just ask the Western Bulldogs.

I would rather be in Harvey's position right now than Rodney Eade's.

It is no fault of Eade's, just bad luck and timing, but this week Fremantle should welcome back Matthew Pavlich and Aaron Sandilands, plus a few other handy players.

Conversely, Eade will be without Adam Cooney, Brad Johnson and Dale Morris.

This in itself vindicates Harvey's decision."
