That was a great tackle but I loved Curnow's tackle on Hodge.

For years Hodge has brushed by us and treated us with contempt, disdain and disrespect, it was delightful to see Hodge finally panties and to stand up in my seat and yell out "BALL!!!!" at the top of my lungs.

We did the same in our row.

It felt so good.

Jones story is unbelievable really ... he was headed for the nar nar goon warriors reserve side, a washed ups whipping boy & now ... Wow!

Ps Dogs are in need of defenders apparently... Makes it even funnier

Do you think they might be interested in a trade?
Who would you ask for in return?

Bailey Dale? Liberatore?

The Dogs have their KPD's, although some are yet to be proven; Collins, Young and then Adams.
Not quite sure how they'll blend when the likes of Murphy, Boyd and co aren't there any more. Could be a very different dynamic.

Was a good game to watch thats for sure .Didn't relise Boaky had such a lethal peg on him ..

This is what we hadn't seen from him even at VFL level until half way through this year, in the VFL.

I just don't know why some players had put away their weapons for a chipping game. He's not the only one.

Hmmm Liam's stats are elite at the moment, supply and demand...we need midfielders how about McRae or maybe Daniel?

But we need Liam he's ours now

DVR made baby Jesus cry.........

DVR made baby Jesus cry.........

Good point. I understand the 'we have to go backwards to go forwards' thing, but some players just play on instinct and know no other way.

There's little point recruiting/drafting those guys with the notion of moulding them into something else. We've learned............the hard way.

Bulldogs are mediocre.

A small handful of star-calibre match-winning players (Bontempelli, Johannisen, Stringer and Boyd) surrounded by some really solid meat and potatoes. No real KPP's of note, a whole lot of smaller skilled midfielders that have been shown up this year.

I'd consider a straight-swap with Bontempelli.

Young was actually recruited as a forward, talented kid

I knew the Hawks were going alright but looked at their results since the bye and they've actually been very good...results include wins against Sydney & Adelaide, lost to Geelong by only 3 points plus they drew against GWS. Makes our win against them even more impressive when you think about it. Their only other 2 losses were against top 4 teams.

Hawks results since the bye:

WIN: Bulldogs by 9
LOSE: Carlton by 7
WIN: Kangas by 27
LOSE: Tigers by 29
WIN: Sydney by 6
WIN: Freo by 52
LOSE: Geelong by 3
DRAW: GWS
WIN: Collingwood by 24
WIN: Adelaide by 14

Clarkson would know this as well. If the dockers beat the bombers then he will be drilled by the media and rightly so. His petulant "dead rubber" comment will be taken to task for being the bulltish that it was
....Bet he backs down big time.

makes the line in our game today look like easy money.

Watched the replay a few times now and the one thing that I noticed was how poor Murphy's field kicking was, some dinky chip kicks that turned the ball over a few times and put teammates under the pump.
Otherwise great win!

If Murph is gonna turn the ball over, oddly often it seems to be his short passes whether it be handballs or kicks. Not sure why, whether its fatigue (one thing we can't accuse him of is not working hard, and his smaller frame does get a fair whack throughout every game) or what, but thankfully I think he generally makes up for it.
