Going into bat here for Tucker after catching up on comments. What isn't seen on TV or talked about is that he's the type of player that does what needs to be done for the team when it's needed - take the hit, hold the ball in, sacrifice his game to cover for our runners. He's never going to be the elite 45deg kick to release us, but he is the one that will take the hits for the team. Underrated what he brings.

It's the total brain fades I could do without.

Adelaide were dealt a blow on the injury front on Friday morning, when scans revealed Nick Murray suffered a jarred knee in a training incident on Thursday.

Murray will be sidelined for the next 2-3 weeks and while cleared of any structural damage, the 24-year-old is reporting some soreness and the Club will take a conservative approach to his recovery.

“Nick will be off legs for the next week, then resume running before reintegrating into main training after that,” Adelaide High Performance Manager Darren Burgess said.

“It’s unfortunate that he will miss some football but at the same time we are relieved that he has avoided a more serious injury.

“The next week will allow him time to recover before resuming running and preparing to return to play.”

Billy Dowling, James Borlase and Luke Nankervis have been named on the extended bench as potential replacements.
