Powell? On the back of being in our best players last game?

Simpkin? Who's actually been playing decent?

Mckercher who had his best game a few games ago and plays a role WP cannot.

Maybe Luke Parker can get dropped but his output is judged on more than kicks, marks and handballs.

Again, may I remind you that this team has won 2 games, and our most recent game our entire midfield got pantsed by the Magpies VFL squad, in a game where we lost by 55~ points.

This notion that anyone is "undroppable" or that someone can't be dropped because they were in our 'bests' from that game is nonsense.

Yeah sure pies "VFL team" 15 premiership players from 2023....

Let's change our midfield and bring in Harvey, Urquhart, Scott, Ford & WP to play midfield. That would work out well.

If it were Collingwood's VFL team, what does that make their actual VFL team? Pies "Suburban team"?

Will Phillips dominated a team of chippies and sparkies and people want him back in the AFL side 😂
so it's both ways then? the AFL game was a premiership side and the VFL side was chippies? how convenient

Like many on here it seems, I’m struggling to get up for this one.

I’m honestly more looking forward to the two Champs games this weekend.

Still, hope we get a win for those travelling and our WA fans.

Is it just me or was Finbarr quite impactful last game? We seemed to struggle once he was subbed
We also seemed to struggle after I decided to take a piss at 3/4 time. Next time I will hold for the rest of the game

If we are in the improve - we should win this by 5+
Weather dependent
Regularly winning is the only true sign of improvement, though, I think. It’s no good winning by 5+ this week and losing comprehensively to Carlton again next week. Just give us 2 close victories.

Logue. In.

What a nonsense.
It’s no good us worrying too much about this, though. Logue has been disappointing this season, no doubt. However, he is earmarked as our number 1 defender. If they think he’s ready, he has to be in. That said, get the finger out, Gus!

He's had one bad game and that was after he had a roll of tape wrapped round his head. If he spuds it up again against the WC then fair enough but until then he shouldn't be dropped.
I was given two options and picked one 😉

Personally I don't get the constant noise regarding selections. None of us sits on match committee meetings, it's like constantly winging about a process we are not privy to. We should judge the result - if we lose, then questions can be asked. I don't know what was Corr's injury, but it was obvious from the training photo that Logue has lost some weight. It may well be that his conditioning has improved based on some actual training data. Same with Phillips. He may be working on something in the VFL that we don't know about. The fact is, every time he has played in the seniors he hasn't set the world on fire, so the need for him to improve isn't up for debate.

Fair enough.

I think he's in the territory where if this form continues he should play VFL for a while (a fortnight or so) ... but I doubt it will. Even against Richmond when he had only 14 touches he still had 10 tackles, that was in the most intense pressure game we've seen this season.

Wouldn't be against dropping Sheezel either if he looks like he's still not playing well. He could get 50 touches and kick five in a VFL game even with this form. That would do him the world of good imo.

Not this week tho.

Kal cops a lot of stick around here and in my opinion, somewhat unfairly.

Yes, his form was patchy when he came in for a few games earlier in the year but he was brought in to play as our main key defender playing on the oppositions most dangerous forward when he is simply not that player.

He needs to play on the oppositions third tall on the weekend and provide rebound out of defense.

At this particular moment, I would much rather play a fit Kal over a fat Logue when their opponent is likely going to be a combination of B. Williams/ Cripps.
What if they plan on putting Comben forward? Kal is still on the bench, as well as Teakle.
Maybe they want to play two smalls up forward in Cooper and Jacob? Wait and see who makes the final bench.
