I recall when Mrs AA and i started living together i made the mistake of suggesting her ironing technique was not quite at my standard. She then suggested i could iron my own ******* shirts. Also a passing comment re where i could stick the iron.
Fast forward 26 years and i still iron my shirts.
Tip for young players, dont criticise your partners ironing technique.
Similar thing, when Mrs BH and I were first married she cooked a steak for dinner one night which finished on the well done side of well done, I politely suggested that it might be better if I cooked the steaks in future.
Didn't take long to morph into me doing almost all the cooking.
Fast forward many years later and the last of the kids moved out and I thought that would make the whole cooking thing easier.
But, almost immediately she announces that she has decided to go vegetarian. Now I'm cooking 2 ******* meals per sitting.
Trade off for me is that rarely have I washed a dish and I have not ever touched an iron.
