MVP Rd 9 Geelong V Dons 2018

I still haven't seen the Blues v Cats 1995 GF... Thankfully I was overseas at the time. That could be right up there as the worst.

Or maybe 1994 West Coast v Cats GF - I was at that one, never seen us stink so badly.

Oh wait, maybe that time the Pies pumped us in Round 9 - 2008.

Yeah, I think there have been worse games where we've been rightfully pantsed.

Easily worst half - v Hawks 1990 at VFL park - we were up by nearly 3 goals halfway through 2nd quarter and lost by over 100. Think the ball went our side of the centre maybe 6 times in the last hour and Dunstall kicked 12 (I think). Only good thing was when Brereton launched a revenge haymaker at Yates, missed and nearly knocked out a team mate.

Could be an interesting - if depressing - thread topic. Probably one already floating around ..

losing to Carlton by 70 points in the last game of the 2001 season to finish a dismal 12th (equal lowest final ladder position ever for a Geelong team) was a downer.

coughing up a 52-point lead to Brisbane just 5 years ago was like watching a car crash in slow-motion.

losing to Melbourne for the first time in a decade at our home ground on the day of Corey Enright's 300th made me feel sick, too.

there were games we lost to eventual wooden-spooners that we inexplicably dropped over the years that my brain evidently refuses to recall; I know they're there though!

at least that was against an outstanding opposition

I remember listening to the game on the radio back on the farm... Remember that distinctively now!

Yes...v Fitzroy who hadn't won a game in yonks....if I remember correctly ( maybe you can help FredLeDeux) there had been torrential rain the previous week ( was a round suspended?) so the game was played in atrocious conditions. The slick fast paced premiership bound Cats couldn't shake the limited but hard at it Roys and were beaten by the eventual wooden spooners.

And Kevin Murray missed their only win for the season because he was playing in the State game.
