MOC out

Knevitt in

Bewsy in too.

Doing this early because I gotta drive my kid to San Diego tomorrow as she's moving into her dorm for Uni and its gonna be a long day. Minister of War and Finance is a mess as its the first kid leaving the nest - so I can assure you im gonna need the gane as a distraction come 2200 tomorrow night.

Tom Atkins 150th.

If ever there was a more deserving milestone winner, its hard to go past Atkins.

Tigers will want to be a speed bumo in the road for us.

4 more wins will do it.

Lets not let this lot be the issue. Get out in front early, sit on the lead, get the 4 points and no injuries.

So - game day early and maybe another late change?

Why not.

Get it done

"The distance between Hollywood and San Diego is 136 miles. The road distance is 126.8 miles. How do I travel from Hollywood to San Diego without a car? The best way to get from Hollywood to San Diego without a car is to train which takes 4h 17m and costs $30 - $45."

Pffttt, make her get the train. Sure, it might end in divorce but it is, what it is.

Luckily it isn't occurring in two weeks. Because I expect the conversation to go like this.

"Look hun, you know I love you right? But the cats are playing a qualifying final. Here's the cash for a cab". :)

The club obviously really sees something in Knevitt. I gotta say, I can't really see what they're seeing, but I really do hope that I see it one day and the curtain is ripped off.

Let's get them Catters.

Catching up on a day of missed posts so bringing this one over here to reply

You'll find that there's still Richmond fans who blame Tom Stewart for them not winning the 2022 flag

As we know that we the match in which Stewart's bump on Prestia wasn't executed to this best, Dion was concussed and Stewart spent a week or so in Queensland during his 4 weeks on the sidelines

I was away myself & didn't see the match, but while Prestia was on the ground in not the best condition, making it an 18 vs 17 situation, we reportedly scored a goal and as we know we won by only 3 points

The flow on from that 3 years later are Richmond fans who blame that bump for costing them a premiership - not just because Prestia was concussed, essentially missing that match plus the next week but because it cost them from winning that game & finishing higher up the ladder, versus having to travel to Qld in week one of the finals

Never mind that Richmond finished 7th at the end of the H&A season, 6 points behind Brisbane in 6th (Richmond & Freo drew later in the season). And while they didn't get the 4 points against us, they did get 4 points the following week in a win over the Eagles... Maybe they should have tried not losing to 12th place Suns in round 17 or last placed North in round 18 if they wanted to finish higher up the ladder

Apologies if mentioned but I didn't see it, with Knevitt coming into the 23 to replace O'Connor, it's a Stevens who has come in as the third emergency

Says a bit that we've really opted against any tall emergency options

I'm not surprised MOC is carrying something, he spifflicated Heeney and ran hard, except for the times filthy Heeney was smashing into him while MOC was lying on the ground. Hopefully get over it within two weeks, because the Irishman has been dour and in rare form.
Sort of explains the Bews selection, now Knevitt.

He may not have fully healed from the surgery to remove him from Heeney post match.

All our talls are raw first year kids no options for finals.
Knevitt in is partly to give him a run in case needed but it tells me Duncan is done that hes not in the 26. Clohesy needs a new club.

I'm not seeing it either. I haven't seen enough of him. But let's face it, there's a few players that aren't getting much time right now.

No injuries and no suspensions.

Don't even care if we look average like the Essendon game. It doesn't mean anything, the players minds are naturally going to be on the QF.

Just get the job done by 5+ goals and avoid the banana peel. No need for anything record breaking, as great as it would be to see.
'banana peel'. you've been listening to SEN.

I can remember (sort of) an opposition assistant coach in 07 who watched us warm up.
He said, 'the ball never hit the ground once'.

Winning form is good form. We need to sword them. 70 points or so is right.

"We have made a mistake"
Well if thats what it means I'd counter with this.

During covid we lost staff due the to soft cap.
Scott lost 1/2 his salary.

We've been fighting to get the cap lifted again. We've pretty much been the most vocal on this.
To waste 20k on 'a chance', when it doesnt matter is completely hypocritical.

It's $10k if you lose at the tribunal not $20k

The point Scott raised in regards to the tribunal situation was how GC was successful in arguing Davies charge from medium impact down to low impact, when we (Geelong) didn't believe that the MRO & Tribunal guidelines permitted such decision
