Last year Macedon were improvers with the appointment of christenson as coach he pulled a number of players to play under him does he have any recruits coming over this year are any players leaving

extremely excited about that prospect true blue. but i have forgotten how 2 rove 2 a gun ruckman.i like the young man bit pal,"very flattering".
i dont think 29 is too bad either.but im even happier that the 107 kilos i carried in the grand final are rapidly vanishing.diggers round 1, what more motivation does a player supposedly passed his best need?:)
 
i read earlier that there are a number of sunbury lions going to diggers and kangas?? who are these players or r u just shooting off random rumours....? also what r the kangas going to do with all these supposed signings they have... i mean they won the twos flag with players who wont leave and there ones side is pretty strong considering where the club used to be at...just interesting to see if they are going to push their old faithful away like most other unsuccessful clubs do once they start to become successful...it would be a shame for that to happen...ne views

You mean like Lions do?? Nope, wont happen, there are some Sunbury Lions guys around the traps that aren't enjoying there time at the club, I think Diggers and the Kangas are just offering these guys a home..

interesting point u make pup23.i have only heard of the club signing one gun player at this stage.i think the club is looking after the players they already have.coz lets face it they werent far off the mark last season.diggers were the only team they failed 2 beat.but every club would be looking at filling a few spots with good recruits,otherwise they will be left behind.im not sure if your comments are words of advice for the club,or whether u have a few sour grapes u want 2 let out?

looks like it maybe the year of the kangas , although its only early from the sounds of it kangas may have 5-6 new recruits oviously 1st team players that would make them a real contender . If they can gel as a team it could be a very interesting season ahead
 
I've played gdfl the last couple of years and never heard of this bloke there is only about 10 out and out guns in it anyway, so don;t know where you are getting your info from
 
for starters i have never seen sunbury lions treat players as if they are being pushed away...being in a major comp sometimes it can be about money but there is a tremendous bond with the "always be lions" players i suppose u call them.

as i sed in my last post ts i know u have already sed that there are players at sunbury who arent happy i asked if u could name names now can u or r u just shooting off rumours, just because the sunbury lions didnt win everything this year??

also to mongrel, sour grapes?? lol lets be serious mate y would i have sour grapes about the sunbury kangaroos just a query

No names.. Dont need to name people... If you actually look back it wasnt me or anyone from the Kangaroos who actually made the statement... So just be a little careful there "pup"...
Lions dont push players away??? How many "Locals" (Lions Juniors) play for the Sunbury Lions senior side?

When he mentioned he was a Geelong boy, im not sure he ever mentioned GDFL... I think he meant a Geelong boy from when he was playing at Geelong.... Thanks for visiting.

I have heard of travaille, this year on 2 seperate occassions he kicked close to 11 goals in half a game of football. does have ability and will definetly impact on this league.
The roos had a very good back line this year, and lacked a little up forward a club should have at least 2 dominate forwards that kick over 50 in a year. Huge boost for the roos if he makes the move to boardman reserve.

in 06 he played for Maryborough Rovers in the Maryborough Castlemaine Football League
 
i can count at least 10 young kids at the club playing seniors or really good twos footy at lions which came from sunbury ie. sahlberg, sammut, coventry, casson, mitchell, powell x2 (anny and keegan) etc.. plenty of home brew there ts...also with the major country leagues as i stated there is a need for high profile players to keep up with the field ie. east point spending 250,000 this year the sunbury kangaroos wouldnt pay close to that in a decade let alone 1 year see my point ts so i think 10 home young kids is very good,

pup i will say there are a couple of ex kangas juniors players either looking at retiring or moving back
