Hey Whisper, if your in the know at the Rams can you comfirm or deny the following.
Adam Brookshaw now staying at Glenorden,Christian Innella's season could start late due to a broken hand, and One of the Cooke boys could miss the season after taking a tumble off one of the grand stand at Moonee valley.Also heard ressie coach could be sacked as hasnt fronted for pre season training yet. Seems like abit going on down the Rams this early on in the season.

I can confirm that christan innella did break his hand a couple weeks back and is expected 2 b out of action for between 2 and 3 months and tav cook had a fall at the races and has a fractured skull heard he was hoping 2 b back in a few months, not sure on the brookshaw rumour, had heard that the club wasnt happy with the 2s coach, heard they were getting ok numbers on the track but also heard the coaching staff are alittle unhappy with a couple of there better players and there lack of commitment on the track thus far

Like Liam - great bloke and was a very good footy player - but if he's in their best 22 this season then Kilmore won't make the finals.

Clubs that have struggled to win games over the years have always stuggled in getting players to training even during the year. Some of the players think they don't need to train, cause they know they'll get a game anyway.

From what i have heard the reason the coaching staff is so disipointed in these certin players is cos they are there better players and so called leaders and at the end of last season coaching staff and leaders had sat down and had put plans in place 2 really have a crack at turning things around 4 the club, coach lee spry has really worked hard trying 2 lift the club and bring in some quality players but a couple of there better players havent been willing 2 put in the work on the track at this point

Like Liam - great bloke and was a very good footy player - but if he's in their best 22 this season then Kilmore won't make the finals.

I think he'd still make the best 22 as he can still snag you a lazy few. one on one he is too difficult to beat as well with that big barrell a** and chest

wouldn't it be better to get them in early, that way players are less likely to miss games if the former clubs try and block the clearance??

I would think so, that way players would also be less likely to change their minds. I asked the question as i heard some clubs like to wait closer to the season.

Former Collingwood and Richmond forward Aaron James will remain with Kyabram District League club Stanhope for season 2009. James who has been a key cog in the Lions 2007 and 2008 had become the recruiting target of a number of clubs including Heathcote District club North Bendigo.

Stanhope veteran Coach Mark Patten had confirmed that James had decided to stay a Lion after recently re-considering his options. Retaining the power forward is a major boost for club with as many as 8 Premiership players moving on since the success of last September.

In his 14 matches since he joined the club James has demolished opposition defences kicking 137 goals. Stanhope will meet neighbours Girgarre in their Round 1 match up on April 18th.

Big News out of Gilbert Gordon. They have signed young gun Matthew Knox for upcoming year and are also very close to securing Danny Sandle. Massive 2 signings for Hawks if so and will catapult them into premiership favourites. Both attracted by mates at the club and secured for a reasonable figure says my source.
Sandle will be a great get by Hawks considering he started preseason with Cats before heading down Calder to Sunbury but not liking it there.
Also believe they will get an answer from ex-kynteton skipper, Darren chambers this week if he will be joining them.

Previous posts have suggested that Knox is playing at Tony Clarke in '09 - also would you classify Daniel Sandle as a 'massive' signing no matter where he ends up.....sure he was a good junior but i don't think he has proved anything at any senior level yet?

Daniel hasn't played a full season of senior footy yet. Has showed glimpses in previous games at Woodend that he will be more than capable of having an impact on games.

We will be very happy if he ends up at Woodend.

if your putting woodend into premiership favourites with the inclusion of these two then your going to be very dissapointed with the end result,niether have proved themselves at any standard of footy yet maybe juniors but thats not senior footy is it, big big call saying that they will take your side to the top, how ever if you manage to secure chambers that will be a good get, proven he can match it with the best of them at bfl level and would be more than handy lets just hope that you can secure him for the right price to !

they have always said that but there is alot of under the table stuff look at their player rewards theres over ten of them each week, no doubt someone from woodend will get on here and say we dont pay a cent but we all know thats rubbish

Sunbury's ground is quite dry, it's getting water but not quite enough to keep it green. A week of 40's didn't help, a decent rain or cooler weather should see it spring back to life.

Brian has come to us from Kyneton. I've not seen him play, however from all reports he goes very well, certainly looks good on the track.
