Yeah good luck to sunbury on the signing of aaron james lets just hope he doesn't bleed them dry just like he did albion and crack the s h i t s when things don't go his way like he did at albion, bigger than the club is what hes known for these days

Some names being touted as returners over the past couple of days.. Of course the Kangaroos and Woodend recruits have been mentioned, but apparently Romsey is expecting to see Ryan Connellan return from Lalbert and Riddell is expecting to see Mick Allen return as well as Col Gadsden who is looking to join his brother who has already returned to Riddell..

Some quality footballers returning to this competition.. Its good to see...:thumbsu:
gadsen allen no chance

Heard from a very reliable source that James cracked the S*its and walked off the field during a game at Albion. Sounds like he'll be great for the young blokes down at Roo land.

Keen to know if he played against Lancefield today and how he went if so? RDFL website not updated yet

Doona just updated then. Aaron James kicked a lazy 10 and Lancefield got killed.

We managed to hold off Melton central with a half fit team. cam dawson ended up in hospital and should miss two weeks.

Macedon thumped rockbank by 101 points and Kilmore lost by a point, meaning their finals hopes are finished.

My final top five will be: Romsey, Diggers Rest, Sunbury, Riddell and Woodend-Hesket.

Love all this talk guys... Just for the record, Aaron James was pretty good for the young blokes down at Roo Land, he got behind them, talked to them and provided a good option up forward... It was good to see...:thumbsu:

If your club is re-building its self around this bloke, it has major issues. After a couple of weeks he has a self destruct button. It will be interesting to read your opinion on seasons end.

Hmm, interesting... Have heard all of this self destruct talk over and over again... Yet everyone I have spoken to that has actually played with him has told us the opposite... Interesting that...:thumbsu:

Wake up buddy, you are obviously talking to the people that hang out of his bottom, The financial package he was on at Albion was equivalent to a low income earner, the team should have been a finals contender, they gave him countless opportunities to strut his stuff, he has walked of the ground on countless occasions, he has been at what four clubs in five years? and he is now going to be a big fish in a very very ordinary football puddle. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and if you think he is the ants pants good luck to you and your club.

Woodend struggled after half time yesterday to contain Riddell, excellent 2nd half performance...

They need more from Mick Lacey against the top sides if they are going to go anywhere...

Big win to thier Under 18's though... Riddell's first loss in what 2 and a half years.. Good on them...

A bit harsh on Mick Lacey there Special one!
Riddell were too good on the day. It's as simple as that.
To put the blame on Lace's shoulders is bloody ridiculous.
The guy is a great footballer and a champion bloke.
Woodend will challenge for the flag once they get there full side together don't you worry about that peanut!
Maybe if the umpires foavoured them as much as the do James they may have half a chance!

Good morning,as it is for some,I find it fascinating that you spend the time to bless us with your knowledge this fine morning.
In relation to Re-building our CLUB,that process was clearly put in place after the final siren last year and at the moment all indicators both on and off the field tell us we are heading in the right direction.
The club has at the moment a good blend of young blokes and with the older guys to lead them forward we could not be happier with the progress the CLUB is making.
The strength of our club is not the individual, but the desire of the whole team to succeed(but handy pickup) and we will keep working to achieve the goals we have set for the future of our club.
I would like to welcome all concerned to come and enjoy our company, either at a home game or away and witness the PROGRESS we and the LEAGUE are enjoying.

Dont get me wrong Dogga.. Wasn't bagging Lace.. Nor suggesting that Woodend lost the game because of him... Just thought yesterday they just needed that little bit extra when the game was in the balance.. I agree, he is a great footballer, and be a major piece in the Woodend jigsaw come finals... Just need that one level above from him...

Yeah, the umpiring was a little lopsided around the ground in Riddell's favour yesterday.. I have seen worse though... Actually thought James missed a couple he should have got yesterday... Sorry, just my opinion...

big game this week for the roos, centrals at melton, if they win centrals will be left 3 games out of the 5, are centrals playing bad football, are the rumours true that a few of players have walked including fenton. Last week the roos introduced big A. James to the RDFL and it took a while for him to settle but still finished with 10 goals and a bag of behinds despite the game not being played around him. (I'm not forgetting they played Lancefeild)
Where will the roos finish in 06, never made finals in their 20 year history, i believe this could be the start of a good thing for the roos.

Could be a interesting games for Aaron has a lot of former teammates who have made the trek across the road at Maccy Park to Centrals from Melton. I am tipping he will kick at least 6 against Centrals.

i think......
centrals lose to kangas- 40-50 points
burras lose to romsey- 15- 20 points
tigers lose to riddell- 110- 120 points
macedon lose to kilmore- 30- 40 points and
woodend defeat rockbank by 90 points

centrals seem to be under achieving but will be slightly tougher at home but will not have enough firepower up forward. Injuries or no injuries diggers arnt as convincing as they were the last half last year and after a scare last week will drop there second game for the season. Riddell too quick too skillful, Kilmore to avenge that draw earlier on this season- it will be tough making the journey into the hills of Macedon but after a strong showing last week they should take home the points and Rockbank to continue there losing ways and Woodend to get some well needed percentage that may come in handy at seasons end.
but who knows in this rollercoaster of a season

This weeks games, some good ones coming up...

Melton Central Vs Kangaroos
Diggers Rest Vs Romsey
Lancefield Vs Riddell
Macedon Vs Kilmore
Woodend/Hesket Vs Rockbank...

Kangas - Garth back in will balance up more with James, Kangas 60+
Romsey by less than 2 goals
Riddell - easy 70+
Kilmore - 40 odd points
Woodend - 100+

Sunbury by 30 points
Diggers Rest by 10 points
Riddell by 45 points
Kilmore by 20 points (would be more but Macedon ground won't allow high scoring footy at this time of the year)
Woodend 80-120 points

Can anyone confirm Kilmore has just signed a monster ruckman?? I'm not certain if he played last week or not but some of the scribes from blueland may be able to confirm this rumor.
