gee if thats the case romsey vs kangaroos game could be very interesting to watch.
I have been quiet for a while, but it is time to get to the chase and say a few things.
The Kangaroos have at the start of the season set certain goals that we wanted to achieve and i am happy to say they have happened.
The comment in relation to the Romsey and Sunbury game being interesting to watch,i hope you are reffering to the onfield part of the game,as when we played last time the game was close all day and in good spirits all day.
Some of you guys need to put your names to these threads and have the balls to be counted.
The league at the moment is going ahead in leaps and bounds and the upcoming final series will show that in the coming weeks.
A.James, the crowd, whos sleeping with who and all the other bull**** means nothing compared to what happens on the ground.
There are many great players involved in this coming final series and i most certainly am not going to get distacted by the bull**** floating around at the moment.
Good luck to all the sides in the finals and look forward to having a beer after hopefully the roos ones and twos win their first final, cheers

well i can say i was referring to the on-field game especially after the close game between the two sides about a month ago. no one wants blow outs in finals

Heritage back playing in the seconds for Diggers. Could be a boost for the finals.

That is fantastic news to hear for both Diggers and Jeff... When he is playing he is one of the most entertaining players to watch on the field.. Will he get back into the ones at all???

To clear it up I am using this handle because I was unable to sign up properly. Apologize if anyone got confused. Definately not the same person posting under 2 names at moment. :thumbsu:

do any of u people no wat these young guns are thinking? mb they just want 2 play with there mates n mb they play 2 games in the 1 day 2 help the club out? if you do play the 2 games as i no quite a few have then it counts as a under 18 game only...i thought all u guys wld of known this but it sounds like ur all past players that struggled 2 get a game in the 2's

Have it on good information that the reason young Climas wont step up to the seniors after being a regular for 4 or 5 games is not so much the lack of support given to kids in the earlier game against the Kangas by experienced older players, but in fact that a Senior Riddell Committee man bailed him up whilst he was getting changed for a recent 18s home game -- (only ones he bothers to see apparently) and started lecturing the kid about his commitment to the club. Bit rich, I'm told given that at the time the kid had just had 2 close family members pass away! Gee the boys played there all his footy life 10 years, for 8 grand finals 5 premierships, represented the club the past 2 years at inter-league level & captaining their 18s last year to premiers & champions winning the Grannie medal along the way plus club Ru B&F !!!!!!!!!!! I understand the kid was so hurt by this guys approach that he has lost his faith in the club and is weighing up his options for next Season!! We can only hope that this Riddell person talks to all his Players before they run out for a game! Could solve all other clubs recruiting needs!

damien barton from kilmore footy club is under 21 n has played under 18s for the RDFl so why hasnt he been nominated for the rising star thing? he has been a far better player than 90% of the nominations!

Sorry VTM but you have been so worried about Trave Hede being nominated that you have not mentioned Damien being eligable we still have 1 round to go so we will see what happens. Is there anyone else from Kilmore eligable????

well that good clears it all up then hope riddell the *******s are happy with that because if thats the way way they are going about things then good luck to them keeping there gun kids! hope they all leave couldnt happen to a nicer bunch of pricks !

Next week at riddell Kairns Vs James again cant wait to see it, kairns got the better of james last time and held him to 4 goals. I'm sure he wont take him lightly this time he will be full of confidence after kicking a lazy 23 goals yesterday despite giving off probably 1/2 a dozen. 57 goals frome 5 games hope he has his head right come finals it could be great to watch the man at work. This should be a cracker of a game i Cant wait.

GO ROOS!

kilmore best and fairest results today... matt robertson won back to back B & F's with 52 votes from Damien Barton with 42 votes and Jamie Duffy 40, Trav Hede 30 and John Rowe 22! was a good day but a better evening at the red lion with copious amounts of shots and beers consumed by all present!

Heath Wadden reported for abusive language to an umpire, the round before finals!!!!! A 2 week prize if the case... What do Riddell do here.. I was told by quite a few around Riddell that Mick Gadsden would not make it back into the senior side, does anyone really think that they will stick to this if Waddsy goes????

A possability that riddell will only play in 2 finals big loss if this is true, as for gadsden i heard he is overweight and doesn't train some players believe he wont get a game in the 2s let alone the seniors.

Played 2's on the weekend, was BOG... Not only will he play, but if Riddell lose Waddsy, they will play Gaddo, Rowsell wont be able to help himself....

Just having a look at the Rising Star noms again.. Would make a pretty useful side... (Have added a couple)...

B - Ellery (SK), Else (WH), Janner (DR)
HB - Downing (WH), Krul (RB), Barton (K)
C - Baddeley (SK), Wright (M), Graham (L)
HF - P.Robertson (Rid), Ploog (SK), Climas (Rid)
F - Newton (SK), Burlak (Rom), Wilton (Mac)
R - Stacey (WH), Kilty (DR), Hede (K)
I - J.Edwards (Rid), Welsh (SK), Vella (M), Petran (Rid),

I bet the roos would be pleased to hear that. Have worked hard to improve there reputation and having blokes come along like that would be a disaster for them.Cop it on the chin Jamesy like everyone else has to and then they will leave you alone.

Great post.

What about when Brad Fox, and espically Mick Werner were playing for Gisborne in the RDFL? Kangaroos crowd were probably the worst at mouthing off.

Amazing how the wheel turns.

Is an absolute disgrace that a quality player in heath wadden will more than likely miss an entire finals campaign, because of swearing!!!
Surely the RDFL have to look into this and hopefully common sense will prevail. But, going from previous incidents, ie Aaron James, season 2006 has come to an end for the riddell goal kicker, and he will leave a big hole in the riddell outfit.

We dont agree on much OM... But I agree with you here, but... The tribunal has set a precedent with Gadsden and A.James, so lets see if its followed up when an entire finals campaign is on the table... I reckon he will go up and the tribunal will give him 1.

A little bit of banter before the big game, well i know ill be there, and so will most RDFL people on sunday! Let's wait and see come sunday 'hey'!

Should be a good game on both days, but Sunday's result could go a long in determining who could shake the rest of the finals up! Match up's of the week are no bigger than the one we have all been waiting for James V's Romsey crowd! nah jk! James V Kairns, very much a metal test for both rather than ability! James coming of 23 goals being the positive and the crowd behind him a negative. Kairns, positive knowing he had better of James last time round sort off, but the negative knowing James is going to be ready and not think he is a walk over this time and that he's coming off 23 goals!

Good game, could be where the game is won or lost!

Diggers to beat Woodend!

Geez.. Going back a ways there BD2... Back to the Rovers days... But you are probably right, there were a couple that gave it to Werner especially back then... But he didn't mind giving it himself the young man... Loved to spit at people... Lol...

The problem had to be addressed weeks ago and all agreed and now it had come down to whether a top player of Wad's capabilites will play in finals 2006 or will he be left out! Like TS has stated precident has been set and for Wad's he's the unlucky victim this time round! I have no doubt Riddell will be even harder to beat now, knowing that he could be out for longer!

not sure but i think wheels do that, you have a good point, but like stated years ago i think about 10 to be exact. The roos have worked hard the last 2 years to make sure that crap is kept to a minimum.

Anyone who thinks Kairns had the better of James last time is kidding themselves. Jamesy kicked 4.5 with very limited oppotunities and was ill on the day.
But the big fellas back in form and as confident as ever and with 57 goals from just 5 starts.
If the Sunbury midfield can get it in quick and to he's advantage lookout Kairns i wouldnt want to be in your shoes PAL!!!
