See JJ, how much better does this thread become when you actually talk about the football.

Will be interesting to see how the 2 big men are played against the Roos and who will line up on them... Im sure Dixon has something in mind...
ts knowing dixon,he will probably play james at full back, mcinernys on the interchange, helmers wont get a game, and he will play himself full forward:) :) :)

Don't worry, we'll beat Sunbury. James will kick less than five and the combination of Burlak and Meldrum will finish with at least seven goals.

The Kangaroos have been brilliant this year, but we will put the foot down this week, just watch.

Should be a cracking game though, we'll get over the line by 13 points for Dippers 250th senior game at Romsey.

I'm not worried
with statements like that i hope you do, twice you have played sunbury going in confident and 2 loss's this time again going in with the same attitude and because it is somebodys 250 it wont just happen.
These 2 coaches have been trying to out coach each other for years since the juniors with jarrod usally getting on top, all players will be firing on sunday which should make for a fantastic display of football, i believe it will come down to the coach this week.

If it comes down to the coaches then we might as well not turn up. Both aren't that good. We weren't overly confident heading into many matches this year, thats probably what has been our downfall. Not playing with enough of the stuff.

I just think that blokes like Dan and Luke Carroll, Meldrum, Burlak, Strack and Kairns will be too good for blokes like the McInerney's, Helmers and James etc.

We won't win because its Dippers 250th, but it should make us play slighter harder and with more passion.

Always rated you Matt, but are you serious??? You honestly dont rate J.Dixon as a coach??? The man has single handedly turned the fortunes of the Sunbury Kangaroos Football Club.

I think him missing coach of the year is a joke.. I may have a slighty biased opinion, but what has any other coach in the league, outside of Mick Giddings, done to lift thier side any higher this year than they were last year???

First of all it was a bit of banter, both are reasonable coaches (nothing to write home about though, although as you say Dixon has done a good job), second of all why do you refer to me as Matt? We all know that there was speculation about this months ago, but I thought we cleared that up. Plus I know that he wouldn't like to be known as a Romsey footballer. Ah well, no point arguing, if you think I'm him then there's no point trying to tell you otherwise.

I joined up earlier in the year under an alias but I didn't like it as much as this one so I didn't post. I went to look for it the other day but can't remember the web address. Can you please post it?

Saturday 2.30pm? I should be there. However I may be at the Richmond game, so I can't make any promises. Gotta support the Tiges!

Dixon as a coach? I seem to recall him coaching the Kangaroos u/18's about 3 seasons back, they went through the season undefeated, and went out in the finals in straight sets.

ts i dont know why u would even respond to that?dixons score is already on the board.not only has he helped clean up the club, but he has also over achieved on the field.not to mention the players he has landed at the club in the past two years.if the last two seasons are anything to go by,i cant wait to see next years recruits

If rumours are true, i'm sure Scooter would be wrapped to hear his coaching days are numbered after a successful year with the Bombers.

They work together - maybe they could coach together! If Power brought his workers across from Sunbury no one would get within 10 goals of Riddell.

lyeah thats probably true.sounds just what the league needs, riddell trying to buy premierships again.rather than try and work with and develop the talented youth at the club, just pull out the cheque book and chase those boys.look at sides like diggers and woodend that actually coach and try to improve themselves without trying to purchase the flag.shame on u riddell:thumbsdown:

Big call from you That's Special. How many players have the Kangaroos poached from other clubs over the last couple of years?
browndog2 after a quick investigation,im led to beleive that the mcinerny boys left macedon because of a fallout.as a result helmers followed them the following year.and aaron james is his best mate and came to the club due to a cash row at albion and to play along side his mate.if there are other players that sunbury have allegedly poached,u might have to mention there names and ill try and find out more

Rick Scott played 18's at Rockbank and Melton South and ending up at the Kanagroos.
