Who's the w***er that recommended Shantaram? I'm 300 pages into this 900 page book and * all has happened except listening to this guy crap on about how much better India is than Australia and getting lectured to about the meaning of life by every chump he makes eye contact with.

Why am I angry? Because I have a problem where I have to finish books I've started, especially 300 pages in FFS.

It's not terrible, I'm a slow reader and then if the book doesn't grab me then I struggle to motivate myself to finish it - so this thing will probably take me six months to get through.

New Cormac McCarthy, Irvine Welsh and soon Bret Easton Ellis sitting on the back burner until I get through this! It's a hard knock life!

Yeah when I saw the trailer my first thought was “that looks alright, but he’s way too old to be her love interest”. Then I looked them up and they’re married.

Although the actress is half a decade older than the character she plays. And the age difference is a fairly large plot point.

I'll have a cheeky gewgs if I think I know an actor from another movie but I can't place them, but I'm not deep diving for their birthday and postal address. Missus digs up all sorts of info mid-watch

I tend to IMDB actors to see where I know them from pretty regularly. I like how Amazon does the "x-ray" when you pause a scene and it gives you the actors and the song name on the soundtrack.

On the other hand I was watching Witness for the Prosecution with my mother and she wanted to know who played a certain character and I knew if I told her it'd spoil the ending. I couldn't even tell her that it'd spoil the ending without spoiling the ending.

IMDBing definitely has it's spoiler downsides in that it it also gives away other characters not yet introduced.
