Will have to check this out. Prey was elite as you say and the Badlands trailer looks pretty dope too.

I'm annoyed that less than a month after cancelling Disney+ for barely showing any new content since getting it 3 years ago that they actually brining out something I'd be very interested in. šŸ˜’

In theory it sounds good, and then you look at the teams they beat to earn said UCL qualification...

1. Qarabag
2. Ferencvaros
3. AZ Alkmaar
4. Hoffenheim
5. Elsfborg
6. AZ Alkmaar (again)
7. Frankfurt
8. Bodo/Glimt
9. The worst Man United side in PL history (and they won via an own goal that's been inexplicably changed to a Brennan Johnson goal despite the fact he never touched it).

Then you've got Nottingham Forrest narrowly missing out despite being a far superior side.

I know Spurs don't pick who they play, but it really was one of the weakest UEL runs of all time, capped off by them being absolutely pumped in the final but shithousing a win with an own goal and due to United's inability to finish.

And I also know I probably just sound like a salty Arsenal fan. Old man yells at cloud etc.
How dare you call Bodo/Glimt weak! How very dare you!

I'm cancelling ours as well. You're absolutely right they've barely put anything of note on there in years. Kids don't watch it much these days so better off scrapping it.

Aren't Disney laying off a sizeable number of their production staff?

They're probably quietly pulling the plug on the streaming platform. There are far too many of them.

They probably thought their ballooning profits was the final Avenger movies would continue trending upwards and are shocked that spamming the planet with sub-par, repetitive Marvel and Star Wars content coupled with live action remakes of animated movies isn't returning the profits they expected. F*ck Disney.

Personally don’t find any appeal with most streaming service anymore apart from the music ones. I really should cancel Kayo cause I only use it for a handful of footy games and 40 bucks a month is bloody steep.

I read the other day that piracy is making a bit of a comeback. I can understand why, given the fragmentation (and cost) of streaming services.

Yeah, I’ve followed tutorials and used the high seas for certain shows that haven’t appeared on local streaming services. It’s pretty easy if you have a smart TV tbh. I imagine it’ll only increase again as prices for services increase and content gets more fragmented.

Im not surprised, why work so much to have so many streaming services. Streaming services actually make sense for people who not only have the money back also watch a ton of movies and tv shows(which is a bit of a minority).

How are you finding out what shows to hunt down in the first place? I usually stumble upon a recommendation or new show on Netflix, look it up to see if it's rated well then make a decision to watch it from there.

My partner and I used Stremio for a while when we didn’t want to pay for Netflix or Apple TV to watch one thing. I’ve also used it to watch things that are either not on local services or a few seasons behind, the black comedy The Cleaner comes to mind.

Stremio with certain add ons will also throw recommendations at you anyway. So you can have every service possible (at one stage we had it configured for all the US Streaming Services) and it will smart recommend based on your watch history.

I know the point has been made before, but it is somewhat ironic to watch streaming services go from being "the reasonable cost effective alternative to Pay TV" to basically becoming just as bad as Pay TV.

Out of curiosity, this is just the cheapest tiers vs the most expensive tiers

Stan: $12 / $22
Netflix: $8 / $26
Binge: $10 / $22
Apple: $13
Disney: $16 / $21
Amazon: $10
Paramount: $11 / $18
HBO Max: $12 / $22
Youtube Premium: $14 / $23
Kayo Sport: $30 / $40
Stan Sport: $15
Spotify: $14 / $24

Total Cost per month: $165 / $256

About on par with what it used to cost to get every Foxtel package I think.

huh

Andor is literally the greatest piece of media ever created what are you talking about

How's X and Insta treating you you massively pathetic virgin?

No but in all seriousness I've heard it's decent, but it also comes with another 6 bog average Star Wars shows, and by supporting Andor I'm supporting Disney spamming us with sub-par content. I choose to make a stand against their mediocrity.

Spotify is not negotiable for me, Kayo is also a must have during the season. Everything else is quite cancelable. I've only got YT Premium at the moment.

Yep Spotify, Kayo and Playstation Plus for me.

Had to keep Netflix to satiate the family.

Agreed, too many and just like what happened with Foxtel, the market will eventually correct itself.

Happy with just Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon for TV and movies, and Kayo for sports, the rest I can, uh, acquire in other ways. Not worth subscribing to Apple just to watch Ted Lasso. There is plenty on the first three I mentioned to pass the time and lots of premium content too.

Spotify is great, though, fortunately other music streaming services haven't got hold - yet.

Yeah you just really have to cancel them once you’re done with the show you wanted to watch. They rely on people forgettting or cbf

Yeah this. I just always buy a month for the show I want then smash out anything else of interest then just cancel before the month is over. Ends up being decent value for money imo.
